Obviously I don't speak for anyone but myself, but, as a straight white dude, I've never considered bisexuality a wishy-washy self-identification. I was honestly surprised when I got to that part of your post: "Bi is perceived by both straight and gay people as a phase in becoming "fully" gay." I've never even considered that a possibility, and reading it made me immediately think it was an incredibly stupid opinion to have. Sexuality isn't a binary thing. It's never been... I don't know what the point of this post was. I'm sorry. ):

I actually wrote an email to Gabe through Valve's website immediately after my last post here, asking him to speak publicly against sexism and other forms of bullshit in the industry. I don't really expect anything to come of it. But hopefully...

Wait what there's also Animal Crossing's Villager and Isabelle. (And Dry Bones Bowser, OF COURSE.) As for new cups, Thrik, from that gaf thread:
-
If I'm being completely honest... I will probably watch them anyway. This shit fascinates me. Though if they're an hour long, I probably won't.
-
Man it took them long enough. Maybe they'll finally stop pretending and just make a full on Super Smash Bros.: Kart Edition like they should've been doing for years now. Link looks absolutely fucking comical in that image, though. Hah!

I've actually been using Twitter lately which is odd for me. I may make a habit of this. I've linked me before but here I am again. @theoneguy. I mostly just retweet smarter people saying smart stuff and make inane comments on the latest anime I watched or game I played, though. So probably don't bother following me. DON'T DO IT.

Right?! How do we make it happen. ):

Ah, good to know. Yeah 2 was the one that made me go huh-whaaa? 1 wasn't so bad. Started watching 3 but then remember they are an hour long and decided to come back to it later, hah. Still well crafted. I'm downloading the torrent with all of them so I can watch them without early YouTube compression, hopefully.

I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but I'm really enjoying Tim Schafer's responses to people getting mad at him for tweeting about the latest Feminist Frequency video. He's basically just calling them out for their idiocy. This is the kind of thing I've long dreamed of. I hope other high-profile male developers get in on this action. Someone like Cliffy B, maybe. Although I know he's said some... questionable stuff before, but man. Can you imagine the backlash if he openly supported Feminist Frequency? Or fucking Gabe Newell? We get enough dudes in the press doing it already, and it's clear that the anti-feminism crowd think the press are fighting against the developers for whatever stupid reason. It's time for developers to prove them wrong. C'moooooon please.

That is a valid complaint. Most of them are terribly done, too. Welp. Also this triggered me going back and watching older AMV Hells which I don't think I've ever done before. I think I've only seen the past few, and some of the minis. Wow this shit is kinda offensive! Like... rape and racism. I expected plenty of bouncing boobs because anime, but not that. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It is the internet.

Haha I was gonna say I apparently forgot how absolutely insane Nichijou was. High School Boys is almost tame in comparison, so I almost want to retract the comparison, except the format is still basically the same. (Still really good, though.) The AMV scene is one of those many things I've almost completely reversed on since I discovered anime in high school. I used to hate them, unequivocally. Now I love anything that's well done, even if I don't know what the anime is. I just sort of appreciate the craft of it. X: AMV Hell is also particularly great. EDIT: That reminds me that I've got Trigan: Badlands Rumble on my to-watch list. Worth watching? I plan to rewatch Trigun in the process because it's been a long time, so...

I just realized that I typed Girls instead of Boys. And that you didn't correct me! Welp. Daily Lives of High School Boys I did it! I'm so proud of me. Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi continues to be fucking bonkers and is definitely an insane parody anime.

Blaziken and Lucario were fighting in the screenshot released/leaked a long time ago.

Isn't that... good? I mean it sucks if you don't have access to the internet I guess, but at the very least it guarantees theoretical endless backwards compatibility for the foreseeable future. EDIT: Oh, I misread jumping ship as jumping shark. NEVERMIND I SEE WHAT YOU MEAN NOW. I don't think what's happening here is a big deal, though, considering Nintendo already is working with Namco for Smash Bros., right? This is just an extension of that relationship.

Given that it's a fighting game, and the three critters revealed so far are all fighting types, if it doesn't have only fighting types and ALL of the fighting types, I will be very disappointed.

I finished The Daily Lives of High School Girls and it was great. Highly recommended if you like the Nichijou style anime. Now I'm watching Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi on a not-quite-recommendation from a friend, mostly because he said it was weird, not because he said it was good. Well. It is weird. I don't know what to make of it. Someone tell me what I should think. These two kids who are good friends start out in a typical Japanese town setting and then now they keep getting transported into different but familiar worlds. First it was fantasy, now it's sci-fi. I'm only on episode three out of thirteen. It's weird. Wtf now there's Frieza from DBZ except with the Grey Alien type of eyes. Oh but it was just a cameo I guess. This is weird. It sorta reminds me of Excel Saga. Or at least what little I remember of Excel Saga.

Idle Thumbs 172: http://malaise.ennui/

There's also that named Yoshi in Super Mario RPG: the bad-ass, blue Boshi. He wears shades because that's cool. Also Yoshis talk and have their own society in that game. And, one would presume, in Yoshi's Island, but one could also argue that they are just super friendly societal animals in that game. -
That trailer was quite evocative. I would like to play that game.

True nuff.

Yeah I understand that I just didn't know it was possible to do that period. Like they just hang out underneath the stage for a good five seconds and then come back no big.
-
But it's not okay that the shitty-ass fucking internet angry shit mob drove Phil Fish into a spiraling pit of despair so that he gave up on Fez when he obviously wanted to make a Fez 2.
