Oops, I said doxxing when I meant DDoSing. 4chan accused Zoe of orchestrating a DDoS attack on TFYC. Either way, my point remains the same. It is incredibly awkward.
-
This strikes me as especially repugnant given that the irc logs literally proved that the 4channers knew Zoe had nothing to do with the doxxing and spread the lies anyway. Dang guys.

I started watching some Trigun. It's still good. More comical than I remembered! It probably gets more serious near the end, like Cowboy Bebop did. It's from that era. I also caught up on Re: Hamatora, the sequel (i.e., second season) to Hamatora. It continues to be palatable junk that I enjoy purely on the surface level. I also caught up on Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro. I'm not sure why I've stuck with it this long. I really disliked the main character in the beginning - because he is a huge jerk - but he's sort of grown on me. And his friend Tanaka is a swell dude. I've also been keeping up with Hunter x Hunter and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. I continue to enjoy the former because it's really good and the latter because it's ridiculous. And finally, I watched the first episode of Samurai Jam - Bakumatsu Rock. It features sexy shirtless dudes playing rock music in opposition to The Man's demand that only one song be played - Heaven's Song... it's a pop song. So it's rock vs pop as freedom fighters vs the government. In the shogunate era. Also the main character has a Peace Soul which means I have no idea what it means but he has one. The sheer absurdity of it continues to appeal to me, against my better judgment. Oh and one of the characters wears giant ass goggles around his neck that are like twice the size of what he'd actually need. The ending song features almost-naked dudes.

I want nothing more out of life than for this gamergamer website's first article to be "top ten hottest girls in gaming!" Please, universe, I've not asked for much, but I'm begging. Make it happen.

Because people were upset that they weren't upfront about the fact that the lawyer was his wife/whatever.

I'm inclined to agree with Ben on this. I've been that person, that troll, during my high school and early college years. When you're in that mindset, you get a certain amount of satisfaction from just eliciting a response, any response! Doesn't matter if they're proving you wrong, as long as you keep them talking more and more and wasting their time. It's a win no matter how right they are, and often you know they're right but don't care. The best counter to a troll is to just straight up ignore them. If you give them the proof they desire, and they keep going, as Ben says, you just walk the fuck away. It will irritate them.

As someone who has seen maybe ten full episodes of The Simpsons, nine of them when I was a kid over ten years ago, I think the tenth episode I saw was the Nadir. I don't know what Nadir means. I did look it up though and it's good that I'm still able to figure out general definitions of words from context.

Possibly, but I did not know it existed until now!

Ahh it works you're my hero! Italics on these forums have actually led to crashing my browser lately, but I sort of attributed it to me switching to Chrome Canary instead of proper Chrome. The issue appears to be fixed, assuming I remember the repro steps correctly: activate italics, type some stuff, do a newline, deactivate italics. At the very least, it doesn't crash for me doing that so hurray.

I don't like how these forums include text formatting from outside sources, including font size and background color and other weird stuff when I copy-paste. Is there an option to turn that off (without flipping the little light switch to go into hardcore posting mode)? Or maybe an extension for Chrome to just stop it from happening altogether?

I like upgrading things! O: Agree that it's not very Zelda-like, but I certainly won't hold it against them for trying to stir up the Zelda formula, even if it is in small ways or ways that might feel out of place. Besides that, personally I've always loved the side-questy stuff in Zelda. Maybe that's why Majora's Mask is my favorite. The Biggoron's sword in OoT. All that crazy trading one item for another for another in Link's Awakening. The main quest and the dungeons are certainly the biggest appeal but I like to have other things to do! Not to mention collecting all the heart pieces and wallet upgrades and stuff. O: I actually kind of feel like SS had LESS sidequesty stuff than previous Zeldas, but that may just be because I never finished it. ):
-
Hm. I think SS is a lot better than previous Zeldas in a lot of ways! Overworld-wise, especially. Also I like the controls but I know some people have like cat paws for hands and can't figure them out. The only problem SS has, as far as I'm concerned, is just the general hand-holdiness.
-
Yeah it's entirely possible I just got "more" fed up with it. Fortunately I was able to use some sweet Game Genie codes to make Skyward Sword less ridiculous about most shit. That said, Skyward Sword is much more handholdy in other manners, like straight up just pointing the camera at puzzle solutions a few times without any prompt, or minute long cutscenes to make sure I see the chest through this window so I'll know I have to get there eventually or or or bleh. I never finished Skyward Sword. I wanted to, but once I had to stop for school projects I just... never went back. This shit undoubtedly contributed to my lack of interest.

Didn't TP only do it in chests, though? It also had a million chests with completely worthless items. And there were so many rupees you never ran out and you'd just get more chests with rupees and you couldn't even take them out so the chest would stay unopened. I am probably making most of that up. I remember having issues with TP's item gabbing but not as much as I did in Skyward Sword.
-
Haha I had forgotten about that. ): Man even though I knew, logically, with my brain, that those people were explicitly trying to get a rise out of us, it really bothered me for a while that day to be accused of racism based on nothing. As others have said, I can't even imagine being the target of daily personal insults and threats as too many women in gaming are. It just sort of confirms my theory that if I'd been Phil Fish, I don't think I'd have been able to handle things much better. If I'd been Jenn Frank or Mattie Brice, I probably would've bailed out, too, but much less quietly. This shit is the worst.

I also don't use shaving cream. I use soap while in the shower!

They invoked Steampunk which automatically pulls in a lot more money than it probably deserves. I personally ain't got nothin' against (good) steampunk, but man it is mostly just a marketing gimmick these days than it is something people do anything interesting with.
