Five Centimeters per Second was really pretty but I was honestly kind of bored by the story. Maybe I've seen that kind of thing too much. It was pretty typical and didn't do much for me.

I wish there was more original anime! I mean I guess I shouldn't really complain because in most cases I don't even know the manga or light novel or whatever exists before I watch the anime, but I dunno it somehow seems less... genuine once I learn it's not original. Which is dumb, of course. What does it matter. But it does? Even though it doesn't.

Cincinatti chili is gross but chili over pasta is really good.

Yeah, I looked it up eventually but forgot to post about it. It would probably certainly fit the qualifications of the sports anime as I described them! Of course every sport is unique to me because I don't play sports. Shit I need a hockey sports anime.

I'm never wrong.

That's 'cause lobster sucks and also more importantly Subway sucks c'mon

You are all saying these things and it sounds like you are trying to make it sound bad. But it really just makes me want that all the more.

That's how I feel too! Except last one I played was 10.

My favorite anime space opera is actually a parody: The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. I really enjoyed it. This season is coming to an end. Hmm. Hunter x Hunter only has one episode left! Dang! It's finished up the last arc before the current manga arc, and wisely decided to just stop. That's good. It's also a good time to end, I feel. Or, well, at least so far. The one last episode may make me hate things. Hamatora continues to be stereotypical serious anime that I enjoy on the surface level. Only one episode left of that, but I feel like I know how it's going to end. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but I did enjoy it for what it was. Haiyku!! ALSO has one episode left and it's already ending well. It's a nice different ending. I like it a lot. I assume there will be more later, but for now... Yes. Yes. Sabagebu! ALSO has one episode left and also I don't think I've mentioned it here before? Mainly because I watched most of it in this past week. Wow it's some funny shit. Doesn't do anything new or groundbreaking, I think, but the high school girl survival game club wacky over-active imagination thing is doing it for me. I've, unfortunately, not kept up well with things outside of CR. I'll probably amend that once I finish rewatching Trigun, which, if you didn't know, is still good!! Wow I forgot how much I love Trigun. Didn't expect this, to be honest. Though we're now approaching SERIOUS STORY TIME, so I may change my mind if that ends up not being great.

Idle Thumbs 176: The Classic Alien Form

I wasn't going to say anything but I felt the same. (Actually I was going to say something until the opportunity for that really dumb joke fell in my lap.) Even though Anita actually does sound very different I kept thinking it was Danielle. Whereas every time I heard Danielle, I knew immediately it wasn't Anita. I am worst. ;_; -
Well I knew it was sarcasm I just wasn't sure if you were aiming it at me or at the shitty situation. I got scared I made a huge mistake somehow. D: Yeah I guess I'm in no position to really objectively analyze that kind of situation. I've never held a gun outside a shooting range before, and I've certainly never felt threatened or felt I needed to hurt someone in any capacity. But it makes me feel sick regardless.

Yeah sweet make digital purchases cost more fuck you 'Tendo. ;_;

All white dudes sound the same to me. -
I think the open Amnesia Fortnight thing is still fine, but maybe they just shouldn't do early access anymore? I suspect it's only working for Broken Age because that's a game with very concrete goals, and they're doing it the vertical slice style, such that it's actually episodic and not early access.

I honestly really want to play the game from that trailer. I don't know if that makes me a bad person. It probably does! But I do. But given the Final Fantasy pedigree, I think it'll end up having a lot of bullshit I don't care about. This makes me sad.

I understand what you're trying to say, and I agree to an extent, but... If the only goal of firing a gun is to neutralize the threat, yes, killing someone is a good way to guarantee said neutralization. But there were three points at which that situation went to shit, assuming the first shot was justified. Let's assume Michael Brown WAS a real threat to start with, before the first shot. Let's also assume the above report is completely accurate. So Brown is shot the first time. He then tries to flee. There's reasonable concern that a fleeing dangerous man could still be a threat, as he might go somewhere else and act dangerously. So the cop shoots again. I can accept that. SO! Brown was grazed in the arm as he was running away. Then he put his hands up in plain view and turned around. No longer a threat. But maybe maybe he was doing something threatening in that three seconds of silence... It's possible! He got shot again, and stumbled. The stumbling, in an adrenaline-infused situation, might be construed as threatening, trying to tackle the officer or something, if said stumbling is in the direction of the officer, as that report suggests. Okay, that's fair. Again, it's possible! He falls to the ground and is shot twice more. Now he's dead. So there were three choices. 1) Shoot a fleeing man. 2) Shoot a surrendered man who had his hands up. 3) Shoot a collapsing man curled up in pain and fear. It's not impossible, but I do think it's incredibly unlikely that someone would continue to appear threatening, by himself, unarmed, after being shot twice. And then twice more. I think it's even more unlikely, given the history of racial tension in Ferguson. Well, to be more clear: I think it's actually VERY likely the cop thought Brown was a threat because Brown is a black man and the cop is probably a racist piece of shit and thinks all black people are a threat. Where I do agree with you most is that the choice to fire even once is the most important decision. But I think if a cop is trained to always kill the target they're shooting at, then they're being trained incorrectly. I don't think there's anything wrong with TRYING to kill your target on the first shot (assuming it's justified), but if they're actively surrendering, you don't shoot them again. ... Completely tangentially. Man, I remember reading stories about cops accidentally killing people when I was younger, and them being mortified and retiring of their own volition because they felt so guilty. I don't know if it's just because I'm older and more cynical, but I feel like I only ever see THIS kind of shooting now, and not the kind I saw as a kid. Maybe it was just buttered up better as people back then still assumed cops were always the good guys. Ugh.

I'm not too surprised. I haven't actually played it, but I did follow its development, waiting for a good time to jump in. Seems to have been pretty... stagnant for a while. Super disappointed, but then it's not like I bought it yet, so I guess I played it smart. Was really hoping for them to just keep doing more stuff, like Prison Architect is. Wonder if the (pre-)sales were just too low to justify continued development? Mmh. Hopefully something good will come out of open-sourcing it, but I was just hoping for a DoubleFine take on this genre. Oh welllll.

This was the first I saw of it, never anything else. So it's basically Bromance the game. And I'm okay with that. I don't like FF. But I kind of want this. Also man is it pretty.

I made a huge mistake. As soon as you mentioned the female Link drawing, I was curious. And then I tried to Google for it. ...Oops.
