It means unique attack modifiers. And crits. Dagon is not an attack proc'd item.

This is all crazy people talk. Essays are boring. That was real talk.

It'll come with Shadow Fiend remake and Shadow Fiend will still suck because he's not a sick-ass demon raven thing (NEVERMORE, IT'S SO EASY, JUST DO IT). Maybe it'll come with that new Faceless Void model too that all the idiots voted for over Viper and Slardar. FUCK.

I also find her earrings distracting - I dislike hoop earring in general, basically - and agree that it's probably pretty petty of me. We're so petty! Anyway I don't think it's wrong to question specific examples' relevance or importance, although I don't think I've seen any that I personally disagreed with. I would (again?!) agree with tegan that some of them are obscure and/or forgettable, but I also think that's not necessarily a valid point when discussing relevance. To sum: yes.

It's possible that they mean in terms of planned content (i.e., art, music, etc.), which is certainly a measurable quantity. In terms of engineering, bug fixing, etc. you CAN technically like track bugs reported vs bugs fixed and features requested vs features implemented and such but obviously no sane person would do that.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
Twig replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
I think it's fair to expect Something Better from Penny Arcade in regards to that Kickstarter (I know I did, which is why I didn't "back" 'em), but also clearly people like them enough to give money, so what's the problem? You don't give them money. Other people do. Not really worth getting up in arms about, in my opinion! I think they should've just run it on their own website, though. Putting it on Kickstarter seemed kind of pointless. Not like anyone who didn't already like them was going to give money, so why not just have a donation drive instead of pretending it's something else. -
Many game companies don't provide benefits? Literally every place I've applied to or who has reached out to me has provided benefits. Unless you're referring to something beyond the typical 401k/health/snacks/etc.?

I had no knowledge of most of it, so it worked for me. Basically I only knew Nightwing as a character evolution.

I'm increasingly of the idea that the more open-ended the game, the worse Early Access is for the game. Which is a complete flip from my expectations when Early Access first became a thing - i.e., once it moved beyond Minecraft. Hell, I sort of think Minecraft, if it hadn't been essentially the progenitor of Early Access, would be more likely to fail today. In fact, there were a lot of broken promises from the beginning of Minecraft's development, and it's been personally disappointing for me. Obviously it's been successful in its own right for a long time now. What if Minecraft's development started today and those same promises were made? There'd be so much expectation around what it was SUPPOSED to do that I worry it'd be a complete failure. There will always be exceptions, of course - Gnomoria looks to be one, as srslyyou suggests - but I don't know. Maybe this is all just a fever-induced theoretical, though. I feel ill and am sort of rambly. I hope what I said even makes sense! C'est la vie.

I continued editing because I'm a horrible person. That's a shame about Taisho. I... think I won't watch it, then. Oh well. What about Princess Nine? It's apparently basically the same plot, based on what little I know, but I guess not set in 1925 probably. I did find Moshidora, but had decided to pass on it because it was a manager instead of an actual sports player, but what you described actually sounds interesting, so... I'll fill the Taisho hole with that? Being super short certainly helps. EDIT: Also keep forgetting to add Princess Jellyfish to my list. I have literally no idea what it is but you all seem to love it. Looked it up. So it's there now.

I need to decide what to watch next! My options (at least insofar as I've specifically chosen to eventually watch them at some point, and these are probably at the top of my list in the mood I'm in right now): the entire Monogatari series (or just Bake for now and then go to something else after (already seen Bake, but I remember so little I'm going to have to rewatch it anyway)), finish up Gankutsuou which I've watched three episodes of so far actually finally watch Space Dandy since it's finishing up (or is finished?) now get back to watching Red Jacket Lupin ehehehe yeah okay. Or suggest something else entirely! I demand someone tell me what to do! --- In other news, the last episode of Haikyu!! was very sad but hopeful and quite good DANG IT'S STILL THE BEST SPORTS ANIME THERE IS! --- Related question: Does there exist a sports anime that is ladies instead of chaps? Finished up Sabagebu! today, as well, and it's probably the closest I've personally seen, but its survival game club antics are played up for laughs. It's done very well! But it's still laughs. I'm curious if there's a lady equivalent of... Eyeshield 21, Slam Dunk, Koroko's Basketball, Hajime no Ippo (starring Danielle, heehee), Ping Pong, or Haiyku!! Codicier's Chihayafuru recommendation sorta fits the profile, but it's not a physical sport and I wonder if that plays some part in why it even exists. EDIT: Quick Googling gave me Codi's rec as well as a few others in the first result, and also this: http://www.crunchyroll.com/wanna-be-the-strongest-in-the-world which lol okay yeah sure bud EDIT EDIT: Also http://myanimelist.net/anime/5141/Taishou_Yakyuu_Musume. looks kinda interesting. Takes place in 1925, it's about a bunch of girls who start a baseball team to combat the idea that women should only be housewives. Also looking at that title image just wow those sailor uniforms are old as fuck I can't believe they're still standard. School unofirms there seem to be a whole hell of a lot more formal and strict than what I experienced growing up (Catholic schools), but still. Are girls allowed to just wear pants uniforms if they want to? That's literally the only result I've found so far that isn't http://myanimelist.net/anime/10572/Ro-Kyu-Bu! ugh look at that art or that wrestling thing or about a female sports club MANAGER which bleh. CONTINUING THE SEARCH. SOOO in the end I found quite a few exist. Some sound legit, some sound like an excuse for harem, some are like those I linked above, some are about managers. A lot more exist than I expected, but definitely seems to be fewer in number than dude sports. Still, cool! Taisho Yakyuu Musume, Princess Nine, and Chihayafuru are the only ones that I've added to my list, though. The first because it sounds interesting, the second because it seems to be pretty popular, and the third because Codi recommended it! And that's the end of my 2am awkward self-rambling. FOR NOW.

Loved Static Shock as a kid! I always just figured it'd be one of those things I wouldn't like as much now that I'm All Growed Up. Then again I loved Young Justice and even to an extent Teen Titans before that and now that I'm thinking about it I want to watch Batman Beyond and... Why do I like superhero cartoons/movies so much more than comics? Like I haaaaaaate the comics. Weird. Maybe I don't hate them. Maybe I just want to.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM want some (don't personally like raw onions though so i wouldn't have any!!)

Looks like Skyline. Gross isn't it.
-
I actually have nothing against Cincinnati chili, in reality, but as someone who grew up surrounded by it, it is far inferior to the Good Shit. I also naturally associate Skyline Chili with Cincinnati because... it originated in Cincinnati. And it actually is gross as hell.

Terror has some amazingly boring main characters. Gargantia was really good though. I watched Trigun: Badlands Rumble last night after finishing the series. It's quite good and worth watching if you're a fan of earlier episodes of Trigun. Lots of sci-fi western with big city-destroying fights.
-
Yeah his stuff was actual singing.
-
Yeah I watched the last of Trigun immediately after making that post and the ending does pretty much save it. It's good. Definitely still good. I completely agree with you! Started up Badlands Rumble (which I read takes place after Vash meets Wolfwood but before Legato), and so far it's good, if a little slow. Seems like it could end up being one of those "shouldn't really be more than the length of an episode", because it's taking a while to reintroduce characters. Wonder if Wolfwood will even show up. (15 minutes in it's only just finishing up Meryl and Milly's intro.) Also the world is a pretty cool one and I would to explore it outside of Vash's arc in some fashion. Not that it's like necessary or anything, 'cause the story is enough as it is. Just sort of "hey that'd be cool".

That's about how I feel, too. I have similar feelings about how much money was thrown at the Dota 2 TI4 prize pool (even though I contributed myself)! I love Dota 2, but man, if even a fraction of that money went to various crowdfunding things, games-related or otherwise!, that's a lot of funded projects. Of course, the big difference here is Dota 2 isn't a joke project. But still. At the end of the day, though, I can't hold it against people for deciding how to spend their own money, as much as I'd like to. ):< -
<Lu> OH MY GOD HALF LIFE 3 D:!

I've decided Trigun ANIME realized i was spoiling a bunch of shit for people who somehow haven't seen trigun even though they might want to
