  1. Yeah well a dude gets his still beating heart ripped out of his body and then he's lowered into flames and then the heart also bursts into flames so shut up. Also a mine cart race. You don't know what you're talking about!!
  2. anime

There is no season two of Princess Jellyfish.
  3. The important thing is everyone knows Temple of Doom is the best Indiana Jones movie.
  4. I read/say "FAQ" like "fack" but when I see "fack" I read it as "FAACK" with like a huge emphasis on the A for no reason.. FACK!
  5. An email I sent to Giantbomb

Why? I like violence in video games. I'm fully capable of enjoying that aspect of certain video games while also being appalled by violence in real life. I guess I'm gross though. Oh well.
  6. I wouldn't call ANY Arnold character a wise-cracking character. Ugh. UGH! WE ARE ENEMIES NOW!
  7. Other podcasts

Yeah I agree with everything here. I did a podcast too for a while, but then the other two people quit on me. It was a lot of fun (and nobody but us listened)! It was also really terrible quality and it infuriated me every time I'd have to upload a new episode because there was nothing I could do about it. Just came down to microphone quality more than anything else. ):

Sorry, audio quality is super important when you're delivering a purely aural experience. I don't care how hard it is. I know how hard it is. I've fallen prey to that difficulty, myself. None of that matters when the end product is actually unpleasant, and sometimes even difficult to listen to, because the audio quality is shit. Maybe I'm an audio snob. Fine. I'll accept that label. It's important to me that I don't hear popping or peaking or random distortion or varied volumes among people talking or or or. I'll tolerate a lot, but I certainly won't allow it to happen without complaining!
  9. How so? It's not like Raiders is anything more than Dumb Action Movie Starring Wise-Cracking Adventurer. It has no substance beyond that. The same holds true for Crystal Skull. As I already said, the only real flaw of the latter is that it lasts too long.
  10. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

I think some developers have actually done it by giving full discounts if you buy on one platform, but yeah it's definitely not officially supported. Maybe Shovel Knight's one of those developers? I don't know.
  11. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

    On a Nintendo platform? hahaha
  12. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

Well glad I'm not the only one who finds it annoying. I'll keep all that in mind, thanks.
  13. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

Do I need to keep the valuables? I know in DA2 everything in that category was vendor trash to sell, but it looks like some of it is that monster research stuff you can turn in, etc. Ugh why is it not more clearly separated. ):
  14. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

so's your face EDIT: GOOD NEWS! It feels way better with the controller.
  15. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

Sure I'm not denying potential. Only questioning the quality of the first few hours I've played.
  16. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

I dunno, DA:O immediately dropped me into Something Different whereas DA:I immediately dropped me into Savior of the World. I don't find saviorhood interesting. I find it boring and typical. I knew DA:O was heading in that direction, but it didn't start there. And, hell, it didn't even really end there, you were just the only one willing. DA:I, you don't have a choice. You are the chosen one, with the mark.
  17. At least you've actually seen Indiana Jones. I know people who've never seen any of the movies and also refuse to watch them on principle I guess.
  18. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

I'm sure it's something I will get used to, and I probably wouldn't notice if I hadn't just come off the super snappy DA2, but... it's still really bad. ): anyway i've said my piece i'm done whinin like babbygammer
  19. I didn't enjoy it more than Raiders, but I'd say it's about the same level. People who hate Crystal Skull are weird. It's the same shit as all the rest. I'll accept that the fridge scene was way over the top even for Indiana Jones, but it doesn't last all that long, and it's still silly fun, so who cares. I think its biggest problem is that it's just too long of a movie. IIRC the jungle car chase scene especially feels super duper long and unnecessary. I... may be mixing that up with another movie, though. Been a while.

Yeah I only did the dorf noble and will probably never go back to do another. The stuff with Loghain takes a long while to get to, depending on how thorough you are for the duration of your origin story. My point is that not only is the origin [i played] awesome, so is the battle at Ostagar. Running through the swamp getting darkspawn blood isn't very exciting, but it's also relatively quick. Inquisition, on the other hand... Well I've played for three hours and have yet to have any, as far as I'm concerned, cool story beats or character interactions, besides a few Varric/Cassandra banter moments. I'm not even sure those would do much for me if I hadn't played DA2 and seen then talking a bunch already. Anyway, I understand that I need to get out of the hinterlands. So whatever. We've gotten really sidetracked though from what my main complaint was: everything's fuckin' slow and clunky as hell. When looting corpses (that is, simply opening up the loot window) takes upwards of three seconds (not including travel time), you need to rethink your shit, Bioware. Especially when it was near instant in both Origins AND DA2, as well as allowing you to do it from much farther away, and not making you have to stand next to the loot-container before clicking, as doing so would make you auto-run to the loot-container. In this game you have to actually stand right next to it before interacting, or you won't be able to interact. It's... really quite awful. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea. Slowing to a stop, too, can be cumbersome, and sometimes I overshoot the corpse and have to allow the turn-around animation to play, as well as the start-walking animation, then again the stop animation, then FINALLY the loot animation, and then the menu opens up and I can press the Take Everything button, and then stand back up, and then turn in the new direction, and then start walking again. Obviously basically every game with corpse/chest/whatever-looting has this flow these days. But not every game takes as so incredibly LONG as Inquisition does, and most of them don't require you to be so precise in positioning. I hope someone will now chime in to tell me there IS a way to auto-walk to the corpse. That'd be cool.

But this doesn't have a cool opening area. Running around in the swamp shit in origins wasn't exciting but I had the cool dwarf noble starting shit that lasted like two hours before i even got there. Inquisition it's just like "here you are now go seal this thing with little to no story or character interaction or anything of value besides a pretty environment". Ugh I just don't like it man. I don't like it at all. DA2's opening was similar but it at least had the charming Varric and Cassandra conversation surrounding it. Blargh blorgh blurgh.
