Haha okay I got to the past where Sean talks about Dota item drops. Sorry Sean you're wrong! Heh. Items do still drop, they're full sets now, and they're much much rarer. The battle level stuff is now definitely useless. The main reason the steam market has dropped, a far as I can tell, is that chest items are not marketable for uhhh I'm not sure about the exact amount of time, but it's at least a month. So the only way to get those items First Oh Man I'm So Cool First is to open chests. Which, yes, don't drop anymore. But you can open as many as you want now without buying keys (none of this is important information, but it maybe does sort of defend valve's strategy a bit - i think the idea is that they'll make more money off of chests and also make those items a little more specila since people can't just buy the one they want off the market for cheaper than the chest)

They're like suuuuuper rare now. I've yet to get one since the change (though I've played considerably since then). They're also no longer tied to the battle level system, which is where I think most people got their item drops.

The drop system isn't gone. You still get drops. They're just much rarer now, and they're whole sets instead of individual items.

While I agree that Mint is excellent, I think there's some value in keeping track of all of that stuff on your own, instead of having it automated. I mean, I don't do it because I would go mad and forget shit or whatever. But I know some people like that.

Yeah I like it a lot. I recently listened to All of It after it was recommended in this thread. I sometimes really dislike some of the guests (always the comedians...), but overall definitely a good thing. It doesn't really go into great detail about anything it talks about, but the broad set of topics more than makes up for the lack of detail.

Revolution 60 looks repulsive, and I don't feel bad about saying so. I do not want to play it. It is really ugly. I cannot stand how it looks at all. I voted yes, anyway, to counteract the bunches of no's she otherwise wouldn't get if she wasn't a GG target. I don't even know if no's matter, I don't think they do, but whatever. Fuck those guys.

Man this Fujiko series is just like sex in your face all the time for no reason, huh. I mean that's her character, so... that's her character? It's just Lupin III isn't usually so explicit. Not that there's ever any actual sex scenes, but she's naked at least once per episode (not including the OP where she literally makes out with herself). And yet still the weirdest part is how Inspector Zenigata actually seems competent in this series, when he's always just a joke otherwise.

At work I'm currently surrounded by cool people (all working on different stuff from me) but I was told this afternoon that I'll soon be moving desks to sit with the rest of the people working on the project I'm on. I'm kind of mad (I'm actually mad) about this because I like the people I sit next to. I can talk to them and not expect a gay joke or a random complaint about people not liking sexism or a lunch hour ruined by people not understanding that blatant generalizations about groups of people aren't cool. I can't say the same about the people I'll be sitting with soon. I was finally getting to a place where I could enjoy work - almost entirely BECAUSE of where I currently sit, 'cause it sure as hell isn't the project I'm on... - and now here's a giant step backwards.

Oh I also watched the first episode of Lupin III: Mine Fujiko Something Something I Forget the Title. I had watched the first few episodes a while back when Funimation first aired it on their website, but never finished it. It's... Well, it is what it is - a big-breasted femme fatale who has no shame AKA tits everywhere. But I sorta like it anyway. It may just be my nostalgia for Lupin III in general that's carried me this up until now, but sometimes that's okay? I guess? Listen don't you judge me. I really like the art style! And did I mention there's going to be a new Lupin III??? Like just a normal series, not like the backstory things they've done with Fujiko and Jigen? I must have because I'm excited for it! He's wearing a BLUE JACKET now!!!

I have a sarcastic response to Gormongous' post, but I won't say it because if read without the sarcasm, well. Let's just go with: I can see the twisted "logic" behind not wanting a second trans woman on an all-female team... But yeah that came up in IRC earlier today, and then again. It's pretty repulsive.

It's just Katanagatari. No mono! It has a very distinct style from most anime, even while not being Shaft. It's quite good. I finally finished Dennou Coil! I have mixed feelings. Story-wise it was decent, but nothing special. Kind of a mixed message in the end... "The real world matters!!! Oh but... don't forget about this fake world." But the imagination and creativity that went into a lot of the Augmented Reality stuff is kind of fucking fantastic. It also looked real nice. I wish it was half the length it is, so it'd be easier to recommend. Ahh DANGIT. Well, whatever, overall I guess I liked it. So there.

Yeah that's the Hinterlands. The first big area you get to explore. There's a ton more to the game than that, but getting out of there opens the game up a lot.

If I wasn't invested in the story and characters of Dragon Age, I'd have dropped it long ago. It's by far the worst game Bioware has put out... in a long time. Well, not including TOR, since I never played that. The combat is really awful. Maybe dip the difficulty down to easy, so at least it's a breeze and less annoying? Also, get the fuck out of the Hinterlands if you're not already. Do the main story stuff and get out.
