That'd be great and all except as I said I have no form of transportation for the furniture, and I am pretty sure it'll be damn near impossible to find someone who would be willing to sell me cheap AND transport it to my apartment.

I beat every level in Hotline Miami with the same mask (I think it like increased combo bonus timer or something, 'cause I was going for A+ on everything), so I appreciate being forced to do different things. I honestly never considered Hotline Miami to be anything other than a twitchy puzzle game, and the masks I was using had very little bearing on that until I finally started going for high scores, when, like I said, I wasn't even using a mask that gave me a new ability. It just gave me more points. That said, I think I'm less likely to go for A+ on everything in this game. Some of the levels are super long, and that's off-putting. I just beat act four, I think it was. Other than long levels, though, it's still very much what made the first game great. A+!

Yeah a TV is basically a requirement in my current situation. I don't want to have to sit at my computer desk every time I want to do something that requires a screen. And computer monitors aren't big enough to work from a reasonable couch distance...

I need cheap-o because I don't have money!!!! And I don't have time to save up because it'd take a long long long time and right now the only things in my apartment that I have to sit on are computer chair, bed, and floor. In the distant future when I don't feel like I'm still living in college on student loans for some reason, I'll go bigger. Yeah I intend to go sit on a couch but I figured I'd ask for ideas first. I won't be doing this for a while anyway because I have literally no way of getting to an Ikea on my own. I am utterly reliant on getting some sucker I mean friend to take me to an Ikea.

Hmm okay I won't get the first one then. I don't really care if new or old, long as it's good and won't fall apart. I also probably don't care about smart TV features, as I'll have a PS3 and Wii U hooked up, both of which will be able to do anything I'd want. That said, it'd be nice to have, since it's more convenient than turning on a console every time I want Netflix or whatever.

Yeah in my experience Ghost in the Shell is definitely one of those that falls in the category of "anime people who don't like anime probably like if they like an anime that isn't Cowboy Bebop".

The second episode of the CR podcast came out and you know so far it doesn't feel all that shilly after all. I think once they get used to the flow of podcasting it might end up not terrible! They also call out blatant sexism which is something no other anime podcast I tried actually did. Golden Boy, specifically. They didn't go into a whole lot of depth, but the fact that they're aware of it is nice! So I'm sorta hopeful?

oh i just remembered a scene in kids on the slope that really slams home how awful the romantic relationship shit is I bet the ending wouldn't stick out to me so much if the relationships had all been platonic. Because then I would've had a much better experience leading up to the ending.
