  1. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Hah no there are not loads at all unless they restocked and I don't think they did.
  2. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

We have different definitions of slew! The 3DS has been out for how long? At least fifty years!
  3. I didn't know people outside the US even had computers!
  4. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

What the five they did and the sega games? Also those are cool and I want more of them.
  5. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

They did say somethign to the effect of "if we ever stop making games for Nintendo platforms, we'll stop making games period", but that was a long time ago, pre-Wii, I think? And it may have come with the caveat that Nintendo platforms are already dead or something. But besides that, I dunno. It's entirely possible they made such a statement. It sounds like something they'd say, hah. That said, I think shitty ports are the least likely to make the big bucks, so even if they went back on their word here, it seems like it'd be a poor decision, yeah?
  6. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

Haha I came in here to post this but for very different reasons from you. I still am not very (or at all) interested in mobile games, but, BUT, this shows a sign of Nintendo being aware of the times more than any time I can think of recently. I've always liked their games, but when it comes to things like, you know, the rest of the world, they can feel a bit out-dated. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens from here on out. We get the new account shit this fall, according to Iwata? That's not really that far away! Bring it on. U:
  7. You may already be aware of it and just not want to do it, but it's possible to set your inventory's visibility to private or friends-only. I willingly put up with randos trying to get my shit for various reasons, but sometimes I get fed up with it and hiding it from everyone seems to significantly decrease the quantity of said randos, if not stop them entirely.
  8. It plays almost exactly like Budokai and I like it a lot! If you don't like Dragon Ball (TWO WORDS) I don't think you'd like it. There's a giant bomb quick look. I made a blue Piccolo named Kazoo, so that's pretty much one item off the bucket list. This seems like the wrong thread, though.
  9. Hotline Miami

Yes Punch Mode is my favorite mode! On some levels, though, I can't imagine doing that successfully. On hard mode when there's more dudes in general? Ahhh.
  10. Hotline Miami

I actually started playing the real hard mode last night out of curiosity and it rotates the level 180 degrees and sprinkles Fat Dudes throughout. I'm not sure I'll be super into that. Fat Dudes are fuckin' annoying. A few levels in it's not too bad but I can definitely see it being really awful in the longer levels.
  11. Hotline Miami

    what edit: what
  12. Hotline Miami

There's a lock-on?!?! Was this in the first game, too, thisisimportant.
  13. Hotline Miami

I have beaten Hotline Miami 2. I have no idea what just happened! I liked it. I'm going to repeat things I've said a bunch here and elsewhere: some levels are really big and I think that was a poor decision. I don't understand the complaints about this game being too puzzle-y compared to the first game, because that's exactly why I loved the first game. Every level was a puzzle to solve, an exercise in efficiency. I honestly don't feel like this game is all that different, except for things like snipers or dogs coming out of nowhere because they move around so much they get lost. But I think that goes hand in hand with levels being too big. So I agree and disagree and agree again with those complaints. The short and concise nature of the first game (even if some levels had a lot of areas, each of those areas were relatively small) was sublime. This game tries to do a bit too much. Regarding the story, I guess I should say first off: I'm dumb. I don't get stories that aren't spelled out for me. I'm really awful at digging into something and reading between the lines, unless I'm actually reading, in which case I find it much easier. That said, I actually like not knowing what's going on? The feeling of being confused at a story is a pleasant one to me, for some reason. So, taking all of that into account, I liked this game's story? What little I grasped of it (I think I got the basics down, but the minutia of it all escapes me) intrigued me well enough. But I dunno if it was good. I just know I like what it did to me. When I finally realized what was happening in the very last level, I was pleased as pie at myself. I don't understand why that opening scene exists, though. You know the thing I'm talking about. Like... what purpose did it serve? None, as far as I can tell? Except to be shocking. Which is really bad. I came off this game much more positive than I initially thought I would. I might keep playing it, after all, going for all those cheesemints. Except for that "kill 50,000 enemies" one, that looks dumb. Who knows.
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

Let me rephrase: How is Yahoo streaming even a thing! This disgusts me. I hate that all these things are in different places. I am a baby. Fuck Yahoo!
  15. General Video Game Deals Thread

    Yes, definitely!
  16. Sports

I was watching that yesterday morning at the office and one of my coworkers goes "I'd like that show if he wasn't such a socialist bastard" and "European political pundits? No thanks" and it was an awkward moment.
  17. Movie/TV recommendations

Uh what how is that even a thing and how did no one else want to pick it up over fucking Yahoo.
  18. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

Yeah except Canvas Curse was not a competitive game at all! Neither did it better. I loved both unequivocally! They were simply different games embracing the same concept.
  19. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

Yoshi Touch & Go was fucking fantastic, and yes I really mean that. I spent many hours competing with a small group of friends for high scores. I got pretty dang good at it... But playing that game with my fat fingers instead of a precise stylus sounds like a nightmare. This is why I literally (as of right now, until proven otherwise, who knows, it could happen??) have zero interest in Nintendo's mobile endeavors.
  20. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

Welp, there goes a whole subset of Nintendo games that I'll never play. Oh well. ):
  21. Cartoons!

In catching up to Adventure Time's last 20 or so episodes,I was at first feeling sort of... I dunno, like tegan, I guess. Wishing they'd end it soon. But then I DID catch up and, well, I still like it. A lot. Not as much as I used to maybe? But it's still really good. I even liked Jake's kids! The nerdy shut in, in particular! That stuff with the diary was good stuff. And yeah that brick episode was goddamn great! (Gonna have to disagree regarding the cycle if life episode, though, if only because my Masaaki Yuasa fandom demands I do so.)
  22. Cartoons!

just watched latest Gravity Falls. UHHHH
  23. anime

Oh! Edo Rocket is not available on any streaming services , and so I didn't get to watch any of it. But now I wanna rewatch Cromartie High School god it's so good.
  24. My options are super limited.
  25. Haha. I've been that person before but never been on the receiving end!
