  1. Hotline Miami

Wow, you are way better at this game than I am. It took me upwards of 10 minutes on average per level on my first run through. (On hard it's probably taking me 15-20 so far.)
  2. Also I dunno about polygon specifically but I know the idea of most gaming related companies giving a shit about weed is pretty goddamn laughable. Especially in California.
  3. Hotline Miami

Yeah didn't think so. D: Also the two-barrel shotguns don't have ANY ammo when you pick them up. DANG HARD MODE WHY YOU SO HARD.
  4. anime

OH GOD WHAT ASSHOLES THEY JUST FINISHED AND IT DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME WHO WON FUCK as a side note i'm going to complain about something else EVERY TIME I GET TO THE END OF AN EPISODE OF YOWAPEDA I'M GREETED WITH THIS SHIT nsfw the tone of the anime is LITERALLY NOTHING LIKE THIS and yet there it is right there what the fuck japan i'm so sick of your shit goddamnit fuck, and it's been way less obscured than that in the past (it being the area covered by the giant text) i know a lot of anime does this but usually i don't see it 'cause i don't watch the post credits scenes... yowapeda's post credits scenes are fucking hilarious ahem besides that i am just going to repeat my complete and utter love of dumb sports anime
  5. anime

yowapeda if you end on another cliffhanger this close to the end i shall be SO CROSS WITH YOU GO GO SAKAMICHI GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  6. Hotline Miami

Also another thing about Hard Mode. Guns have half the ammo and once you pick them up, if you throw them, they lose all ammo. The latter may be true in normal mode and I never noticed, but i don't THINK it is.
  7. Intoxicated:

ugh if you want a gross drink do a prairie fire ugh it's so gross
  8. PL4YST4TION 4

I've heard one person (in real life) say semi-positive things about it. But it was mostly "it looks pretty", which is the most useless thing to say about a game (as much as I like pretty games).

  10. Life

I'm convinced she knows I've switched the rooms my computer desk is in and has thus moved her shoes-on pacing (and random loud thudding WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING) to "accommodate" me.
  11. Life

    Shoes are the devil's handiwork.
  12. Life

I just don't understand why people can't be considerate. I've always been conscious of the volume of my music, and even though I'd like to listen to it loudly, I don't, because I know it'd annoy my neighbors. If I have people over we make sure not to scream or shout. I guess I'm not an asshole? I fucking hate them so much. And yeah I've definitely violently fantasized about just wrecking the ceiling at 3am. And possibly other things that are less healthy to fantasize about. Also I just realized that when she said IT'S SATURDAY CHILL OUT she probably didn't realize it wasn't Saturday anymore and was in fact eight hours past Saturday. Christ I want them to never know sleep again.
  13. Life

Haaaa... Fortunately they don't do this on weekdays - well it has happened, just not consistently - but nearly every weekend, ugh. Also they seem to enjoy wearing shoes indoors because I can hear the sharp thud every single footstep they take every night. And I guess they don't like to sit down because they're always walking around. Also LAST weekend I was awakened at 7am by one of them BANGING ON THE WINDOWS because she locked herself outside or was locked out by her roommate or I don't know but it lasted twenty minutes. At least it stopped after that, though. "LET ME IN I NEED YOU TO LET ME IN"
  14. I Had A Random Thought...

Pretty much how I feel right now. The only cars I ever owned were hand-me-downs from parents. Now I don't have one and I can't even begin to see how I'd afford a new one...
  15. Life

Golly gee I sure do enjoy being woken up at 5:30am by EXTREMELY LOUD UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS and then hearing them three hours later talk EXTREMELY LOUDLY about how all their neighbors need to chill out because it's Saturday. I want them gone from this world.
  16. I Had A Random Thought...

I was terrified of driving and so didn't even learn until I was about 19 or 20 and had to for my internship... Once I did I had no problem and started enjoying it and I was better at it than most people who I assume had been driving for years longer than me and yeah I'm smug about it fuck you! And then I got tired of it. And then I moved to Washington and my entire life was based around Digipen, and I drove very little. And then I let my license lapse. And then I moved to San Francisco, where I didn't ever have to even pretend to drive and it was fantastic. And then I moved to Dallas, where I need a car and I hate it and I don't have one and public transportation is ass and ughhh fuck me I guess.
  17. Building a home theater...

Plex is pretty rad, although I have a lot of problems with jumping through video when streaming to a local mobile device. I'm hoping now that I have a real TV I can try it out there and see nowhere near as many problems! Also I got a TV stand today and finally hooked up my new TV. Now I just need a sofa (couldn't fit it in the car, but picked one out), and my home theater setup will be complete (until I decide to go further).
  18. Haha wow I'd forgotten how bad it was, too. Now that I see it, I'm reminded of what someone once told me: it's like that because the Japanese characters are able to convey a lot more information with a lot fewer characters, in large part thanks to kanji, and when they localized it, they either didn't have the budget or know-how to change the character system? I think I even remember some ROM translation hacks actually changing character width to avoid this problem.
  19. The Corny AMV/VGMV Thread to Ruin Everything

Welllllllllllllllllll Dragon Ball Z's repeated plot device is that some bad dude or group of dudes is threatening to destroy or conquer the planet Earth, and they fight back and win. That lines up pretty smoothly with the theme of striking back at the terror--- okay barf i'm done sorry also i have no idea where linkin park comes in
  20. Also, even used console games are more expensive by a LOT than the average Steam Sale or Humble Bundle, as far as gaming quantity goes. Also, then I have to have gross physical copies of games all up in my biz. Also, in my arrogant opinion, PC gaming has many more unique and varied experiences than consoles do. There are plenty of unique-to-consoles experiences, of course, but... less significant in quantity. That said, PS+ is pretty cool. Until you stop subscribing and can't play those games until you resubscribe. But that's not something I really hold against Sony. It just kinda sucks.
  21. For me it's not at all about being unwilling to buy a PS4. (I do plan to buy one, and this game is a huge driving factor. Or this game is an EXAMPLE of the main driving factor - that is, exclusive Japanese games. Same reason I have a Wee Woo, except it's a different subset of games.) It's actually just simply that playing games on my PC is a much more enjoyable experience to me. I get to tweak it to my heart's content, I get to use the controls I prefer (instead of that Sony monstrosity), and I can do it at a moment's notice while at home since I spend most of my time on my PC anyway. So it's a matter of convenience (PC) vs inconvenience (consoles).
  22. Nintendo announces mobile deal with DeNA

    http://www.wired.com/2015/03/nintendo-nx-analysis/ This is sorta interesting.
  23. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

Haaa that actually came up yesterday too... "My niece solved the math problem without me doing it for her!" And because I'm me I said "Pff math is easy." Which whatever I was obviously being an ass but then he said "Yeah but she's a girl" Hilarious!! But that's not what this thread is about so I'll stop venting.
  24. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

That is distressingly similar to a conversation I had with a co-worker once while sitting in a Hooters-of-a-different-name (Twin Peaks... Listen I was tricked I didn't know what it was until we got there!). Except instead of video games it was women not wanting to look at sexy dudes because only men find looking at sexy people fun. This isn't really relevant, but it pains me that this is such an easy and common opinion.
