Yeah for sure, it seems like it's just a few issues at the initial launch of a super-rad feature. Hope they get it sorted sooner, rather than later.

(carrying over a thing from the general PS4 thread) Apparently some people are having trouble staying in Online mode when using PS4's rest feature? (Korax alluded to this above.) However, I still see the occasional ghost and I definitely still see messages. Buuuut most of the time when I click "view spectre" or whatever (to see people's deaths), I get nothing. So am I offline or online?! Also does multiplayer work differently than how it used to? Like there's no humanity, but there is insight. Do I use insight to make myself "whole" again, or does dying no longer make me... dead? I know insight is used for a lot of different things (and it's kinda rad!), but dunno if it has any effect on multiplayer. -
Obviously the only way to settle this is by somehow hooking together Civ IV and Civ V multiplayer and battling it out with your respective pedigrees. (Alternatively, Offworld Trading Company and At the Gates!)

Oh really? Man I've been using that feature non-stop, and now I'm just disappointed... It's such an amazing feature. Takes like thirty seconds to get back into the game. ):

Ninja Slayer is the trigger thing.

I was under the impression that asexuality was a lack of attraction to either sex, but it doesn't preclude romantic attraction? And as others have said, they clearly identify as female. Just because they're physically genderless doesn't mean they don't consider themselves as having a gender. Listen I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I watched the teaser for Punchline and it was just panty shot after panty shot after panty shot... It doesn't look good. Besides that, I'll be watching (at least at first) Lupin III, Ninja Slayer, and... that's it as far as full series go. Actually, I'll try Kekkai Sensen, too, as it looks like it might be a good junkfood anime, but I don't have much faith in it. We'll see. Also the new DBZ movie of course!!!!!!!!!

As is often the case with these kinds of things, once I get my whining out of the way I suddenly find myself more willing to engage. Shut up you don't know me! Anyway how come I can't always lock on to monsters? What do I have to do to unlock lock-on? For example, when I was fighting konchus, it was never an option.

Maybe that's how you are but I'm perfect and I never make mistakes and if you think I have well fuck you I'm better than you anyway look at how many people pay attention to me and not you nyah nyah. i fucking hate this guy

Yeah I'm sure the camera is something I CAN get used to it's just really frustrating at the moment. I like most everything else about the game (I mean, so far, I've not played THAT much), but it really hurts when a single dysfunctional mechanic brings it down like this.

Yes, the training missions start you with the weapons for which they're training you. There is no supply box. It's not that the fight is hard - I've never died or even dropped below 3/4 of my health, except for maybe once because I was trying to use the bowgun. It's that I'm always having to adjust my camera and it's completely unfun when half of the fight is me making sure I can actually see the monster. My issues are not with the positioning or with the weapons or with anything other than the camera. It is easily the worst camera I've ever used in a game like this. Between the starting tutorial missions and all of the weapons training missions and the one mission I did after that, I figured I'd be used to it by now. But I just find it more and more frustrating. I lock on in Dark Souls and Bloodborne all the time! But even when I don't, enemies in that game tend to be slow, lumbering beasts. Also, even when they aren't, the camera in Bloodborne (and Dark Souls, too, I'm sure, but I've played Bloodborne more recently) feels much less... claustrophobic? Which is awkard because Souls' environments are designed to feel that way more often than not, Monster Hunter's environments are the complete opposite. I don't find any of the weapons more appealing than any of the other weapons, besides never wanting to have to aim a shot without a mouse ever again in my life ever. I guess I like the great sword and the long sword and the dual blades and the hammer? At least, those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head (besides the endlessly infuriating insect glaive, bow, bowgun, and heavy bowgun), so clearly they stuck with me.

I've fought the great jaggi in the arena for the training missions with every weapon type and I'm trying to damage the great jaggi with said weapons. I mean any weapon that requires aiming I am predisposed to hate because non-mouse controls are not made for this shit. So ignoring those, I am... attacking the monster. I've used the virtual D-pad and it's awful. I can't be buying a N3DS for this. And I don't want that dumb attachment. ):

I don't get this game. I find the camera utterly unmanageable. I fought that great jaggi like twenty times or whatever for all the different weapon types and every time I just lost him all the time and had to reorient with L and it was a pain because he'd immediately move to the side and I'd have to do it again and oh look he's charging at me now better roll out of the way and reorient the camera again wait why's he way over there yelling at the clouds...

Bloodborne (Dark Souls 2 successor (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)))
Twig replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
I'm not grinding, I think I just have a lot of potions because I keep dying, and I die in such a way that I don't really have the opportunity to use many potions... Also I've been accidentally pressing Up on the d-pad for days now and I only just realized that's what's been giving me that temporary +5 to bullets. Welp. That's a neat thing, though, sacrifice some health to get some bullets if you're out. Dunno if I'll ever need it (certainly haven't up until now), but hey. Also it's cool that it drains your health just like an enemy hitting you does, so you can theoretically not actually sacrifice any health at all if you play it right. -

I must have like three full stacks of potions in the stockpile at this point. Maybe way more. Probably way more. I suppose there's a way to check, but eh. I was about to try the second boss again when the sun shifted into position to blind me so I took a break. That window has no curtain or blinds. (I think it used to house an AC or something before they installed whatever they have now.) ): -

I beat the first boss on the first try (using 20 healing potions and 10 molotovs and ended with a sliver of health left) and have lost to the second boss twice. He's easy up until he transforms. I have had literally zero problems with healing items. I'm not sure what all the complaints are about. You get two from every fat guy you kill and the other dudes drop them frequently enough. Honestly, healing-wise, I find it easier to manage than Dark Souls' flask. The main difference is that when I get hit in Bloodborne I tend to get hit a lot so it often ends up killing me, unless it's the very end of a combo or something. So I don't really have a chance to heal. Also PS4's rest mode is kind of great. It takes me all of ten seconds to get back into the game... I wish the loading times didn't keep making me want to take a break. That's definitely my only real issue with the game so far. -
What I was saying is: I've heard (and never researched) that minors can indeed be held responsible for spreading underage porn (e.g., through sexting is the most common context I hear of), and I dunno how strict the People in Charge are. For example: "if it's a nipple it's porn!!!" Like maybe that's true. I have to assume/hope it's not, but I dunno. Not that someone from America can do anything about someone in Iceland, but they could certainly do something about Twitter... itsamoose: Ah, well, that sounds like a thing that should protect whatever. Whether or not it does I dunno. I DUNNO NOTHIN'

No worries, it'll come out in five years as a double-release for Wee Woo and whatever the NX is! -
I remember when I was really young (I wanna say 10-ish) and playing with a friend who was a girl of mine and I wanted to take off my shirt while we were playing outside and my mom told me not to because this girl wouldn't be able to take hers off and it wasn't fair. I didn't understand until way later, and then I just bought into the explanation, of course. This is cool, though. I support it. That said: "The hashtag went viral after 17-year-old Adda Smaradottir posted a picture of her nipple..." Isn't that "child porn" in America (and I'm assuming other places)? As in, isn't it illegal? Clearly Iceland is all right with it, but I'm sort of surprised it exists on Twitter (unless it doesn't anymore).
