Bloodborne (Dark Souls 2 successor (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)))
Twig replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
That's exactly my build at the time I fought both BSB and Amelia. I had a ton of trouble with both of them until suddenly I didn't. With Amelia, -

I'm also full strength (although recently started putting more points in skill because Ludwig's Sword gets just as much out of that and I'm way over the soft cap on strength). I put some points in bloodtinge to be able to equip the rifle spear, which I promptly unequipped... -
I'm totes usin' this in my game right now and it'll probably end up being permanent even though I'm not sure it'll fit the tone of the game in the end (since I'm still not sure what the tone will be). It involves ghosts and graves, though, so it probably works.

Wow that boss was super easy. X: Now I'm at Cainhurst Castle 'cause I remembered I got that letter. -

Wow uh Darkbeast Paarl was kind of laughably easy. So I guess now my question is, what did that get me? Also, re: how easy it was: I was level 55. Perhaps I was too strong? Currently pondering if I want to help people fight the beast or just move on. I found a tonsil stone or something and I'm pretty sure I know which door that opens. So I've got two paths ahead of me at the moment. Or I can run around in a chalice dungeon some more. Really not liking them all that much, though. It'd probably be way more enjoyable with a buddy, but one of the strengths of the Souls games is the environment and level design and while I'm fully of the opinion that procedural generation can accomplish amazing things, they did not do it well in this game. -

Yeah either restarting my PS4 fixed it or port forwarding fixed it or I was massively unlucky last night. I just did a whole bunch of co-op. It's immensely and amusingly embarrassing to join someone's game, run into the boss room, and immediately die to the first attack. I knew it decreased your health pool, but not by half. But I helped four people beat the boss to completion! So yay me! I spent all my echoes on buying armor and weapons instead of leveling up for some reason. Also it's nice that dying when helping someone you get to keep your echoes. Hah. There were a bunch of invasions, too, but I guess they didn't have a chance to find us before we got into the boss. Anyway those shadows are super easy with more than one person holy crap. -

Oh yeah I forgot I have that place to explore, too. Yeah I'll do that first. Well first first I'm gonna try port forwarding? I didn't realize that's a thing I'd have to do with consoles. Humph. Oh well, at least I'm familiar with the process. -

I beat the shadows! On to Byrgenworth we go! Except I wanted to help some people kill them since I've been wanting to try co-op since Dark Souls 1 and never did except that one time I got help on Artorias!!! D: But I sat there with the small resonant bell chiming for five minutes and nothing? Is that the right bell? Am I too high level (53) to help people? Do I need to run around in the whole area instead of sticking to just outside the boss area? That was sorta disappointing, nothing happening at all. ): EDIT: Or could this be what people are talking about when they say online mode is borked if you use Rest Mode? I still see ghosts and messages all the time, but maybe those are the only things that work? -
I didn't comment earlier when you posted it in the other thread but I love that fox. :3 I'm not interested in a team, although I have an idea, because I don't think I'll commit to anything. But I have an idea and if I work on it this weekend I will share it with people and see if anyone is interested in working with someone who is afraid of passion.

[Dev Log] What Happened To Us - a Twine game
Twig replied to Patrick R's topic in Wizard Jam 1 Archive
I think if you just edit your original post you can change the topic title. -
Gosh I feel so strongly that the idea of holding "could have happened"s against someone is incredibly silly that I don't even know how to respond to it. He didn't do it, but what if he did because he totally could have!!! Like I could have decided to murder someone this morning. I didn't, but golly I made a poor decision by waking up and going outside of my apartment where people besides me exist. Yes that's a patently absurd analogy. But that's kind of my point.

I think it's fairly obvious that Dota 2 has lore because valve has fun making low for Dota 2. And then other people have fun reading the ridiculous lore! Some of it is ridiculously over serious, and some off it is just plain old ridiculous. It's great!
-
Literally the only reason I find anything wrong with it is because he should've been aware that other people will find something wrong with it. On its own, it's nothing. In context, it's nothing made into more than nothing.

Okay cool

Did I call you an idiot??? Oh you posted just above me I guess. I want talking about you?! I ain't never said it wasn't stupid. But it's definitely only stupid because other people exist to make a big deal about it. It is absolutely one of those things that shouldn't be a Thing, but because we live in a shitty world, that's the breaks, eh.

He [claims he] didn't make money. In fact, [he claims] he lost 13 bucks. So [if true] it's completely harmless and this is one of those many instances known as Much Ado about Nothing that also actually IS harmful because people are idiots. It's a big deal because people are making it a big deal. How fun!!!!?

I killed both real and fake I guess. What did I fuck up? I mean I've fucked up like forty times already so it's whatever I'm already committed to this playthrough being the worst. -

Last night I explored the forbidden forest for about an hour before I FINALLY found the fucking shortcut. Man that was nervewracking. I had over 40k souls at that point. And to top it all off, I decided it'd be a good idea to fight Also I spent like half an hour before all that trying to get through that stupid cave with the shitty lake and made it back OH! Also I jumped into a chalice dungeon for the first time and killed Undead Giant. So... that's how far I am in there. I have like 37 or 38 strength now. It doesn't seem to be capping out yet. I heard 40 is the max soft-cap for a stat? EDIT: Here it says 50?? That's gonna take a while. I might need to start pumping more into vitality, though... I have 15 right now and the spoiler-mentioned dude could almost one-shot me... One thing I really really like about this game that I feel like no one talking about weapon variety ever makes a point to mention is that every weapon is a trick weapon with two separate modes. It really allows me to switch playstyles on the fly, even with a single weapon. I like it a lot. -
Nice, Octopus Pie is great.

My favorite thing about Matt is that when he gets really focused he can tell an amazing story in which I completely lose myself. My least favorite thing about Matt is that he so very very rarely achieves this. The best Matt story I've encountered was on Regular Features (the comedy podcast he does with frequent Daft Souls guests Steve, Gav, and Log, or at least some combination of two of them). And it really wasn't that funny. But it was about a game! One of those live-actor games where you're part of the show but aren't allowed to talk and you follow people around, and man the way he told that story. Still, I love Daft Souls a lot a lot, as Some People know. I agree that it doesn't dive as deep as Idle Thumbs can, but that's part of why I like it.
