  1. I grabbed that on Steam but it didn't quite grab me. I played it for a few hours and had fun, but it never seemed like it had the longevity I'd want out of this kind of abstract level-based game.

Not sure what you mean by longevity to be honest. It has scoring modes for individual levels, and the gameplay is heavily physics-based so It's not like it plays the same way everytime.

  2. I would try not to look at it as PSN+, It's not called that, It's called PLAYSTATION plus. Folks need to stop comparing it to xbox live, because that's not what it's doing. It's merely a game subscription service at it's core, the other stuff like push demos is just fluff. So basicly the free games need to justify if it's worth the money or not.

  3. I'm happy to see all the PC folks buying Shatter. That game is the single best thing that genre has ever seen IMO. Varied gameplay, perfect soundtrack, and absolutely gorgeous to boot.

  4. So I'm getting ready to make a move from Saginaw, MI to Austin, TX in about a month, going to stay with by half brother initially while I look for a job. In a perfect world I would have a better plan, but the current situation I'm in is unstable and a drain on my savings. so I need to go before it gets worse. Anyone have any general moving tips? I'll be driving my old clunker all the way down, it will probably cost me like 300 dollars in gas, but it's still cheaper then a plane ticket and buying a new car. Can I sleep in my car at rest stops to save money? Anyone live in Texas can tell me anything important I should know?

  5. That's the only big problem with the game is it doesn't do a good enough job explaining how to progress and what it's systems are for. I reccomend playing the game with a wiki page. You'll enjoy it more. Read the basic FAQs on that link I posted, and read about different potential character builds.

  6. I'm considering just going on a media blackout for this game so all the surprises aren't ruined. It's going to be tough to resist the temptation though.

  7. I didn't expect it at all, but metro 2033 is very system intensive. I tried to run it on high and everything is slowing down during combat. I don't have a super great computer, but it's decent, and I ran most games on high before, but it still looks pretty good even on medium.

btw, I wasn't saying that torchlight sucks, just that titan quest is better.

  8. I can't believe steam would do this to me. I already own Company of Heroes, I own Titan Quest, I own Dawn of war 2, but not the expansion, and I just paid 25 dollars for Metro 2033 monday morning, and they come out and offer all that, the expansions, and like 12 other of THQs best games for 50...Son of a bitch...
