If anybody else is having problems with MP crashing I highly recommend joining servers without PunkBuster. It looks like it's the source of my issues.

RE: Gaming ruts A gaming rut can easily be solved by consuming other media. A good book always recharges my brain.

It sounds like the game was trying to reenact Shane for you.

i forget the first part, but it ended with K C I N K C U F *boom* Also, since most people are probably going to be pretty busy over the next few months, what do you guys think about joining a survival server after the holidays? -

Yeah it's a shame, but clearly not getting enough use. I wouldn't mind jumping into some team survival, we maybe can all go mooch off an existing survival server. Reddit's servers seem to be massive, but maybe too much so. -
After listening to a few guys from BioWare talk at GDC Online last week, I have convinced myself that I'm going to play this. Anybody else interested?

Would survival interest more people than currently are playing? It might be worth a shot. But we could also just keep the server open to both, with the survival zone segregated by a nether portal. Default the server to non-creative, and have people request access to creative mode on the condition that they stay out of the survival zone, unless they leave their possessions behind. Actually typing that was hard enough, maintaining the rules would be a drag. I just don't want to re-roll again. -

the what? when did that get built? -
Played threw the new co-op DLC, it was pretty decent. We were stuck on the last puzzle for a bit, but the rest of them seemed to have the right level of difficulty to be interesting but not infuriating.

Played a bit. Going to wait for drivers, because the pop-in is absolutely horrendous right now. It seems that AMD is having trouble balancing the BF3 beta fixes and whatever id needed them to do. If you install the latest you crash to desktop while playing BF3.

I don't think you'd have any external movable parts in the big dog, just a set of really noisy pistons inside. -

The loudness makes me think we should try to make a giant big dog with crazy pistons. -

np, had a podcast to finish and was tired of castle building. And tobacco the castle cave is directly south of the space elevator. -
I'm a huge fan of Battlelog. Bad Company 2's server browser was an absolute mess. And so are so many shooters. CoD:WaW required you to quit if you refreshed the list for some users (and deleted data for others), even TF2 has serious "connection" problems with servers that fail to respond properly. Making a web based server browser just makes so much sense. There are centuries more man-hours of experience in web technology, than any of the libraries that developers use in-game. It can be patched on the fly, there's proper targeted social networking that let's players take advantage of cool things that people have been exploring without spamming all their Facebook friends or Twitter followers with non-sense. It's just good to see developers embracing the benificial parts of a service. I've been an Origin skeptic, but BF3/Battlelog makes me give EA the benefit of the doubt. They seem to committed, unlike most of their other half-assed attempts.

We may not have moon mod, but I'm digging the spacey theme of the star destroyer and degobah crash site. I think i'm going to build a space elevator. Because I'm amazingly creative. -
Yeah, that 4 pack looks awful tempting. http://store.steampowered.com/app/99300/?snr=1_4_4__13 basically only $7.50
