  1. Street Fighter IV

As a person who never really played any Street Fighter games before recently, I've been getting pretty into SSF2THD on XBLA. I'm really looking forward to making the transition to SSF4. Anyone have any tips for a Street Fighter noob?
  2. Evony

I never knew Evony was actually a game. I only knew it as "The ads with the medieval chicks with the large cleavage." Huh.
  3. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I've seen BSS once live at Lollapalooza. I think they're probably much better to see live when you actually know their songs, and what to listen for. If neither of these justify them for you, then I believe you are a lost cause. jiSBAykx9vA Uev2J_cBHjQ
  4. Nintendo 3DS

Huh. So the DSi XL is obsolete before it even comes out.
  5. 2010 BAFTA Games

    hah!
  6. 2010 BAFTA Games

I didn't play Little Big Planet on the PSP, but it was my understanding that it was just a somewhat decent port of Little Big Planet that couldnt use all of LBP's features. I can think of other better handheld games, namely GTA: Chinatown Wars, or even Rhythm Heaven.
  7. Watching other people play games

I actually have been watching people play games more and more often lately, thanks to the wonderful Giant Bomb dudes and their hilarious quick look videos. This is obviously different that watching people play a game in the same room, but Giant Bomb quick looks are becoming more and more one of my go to forms of entertainment. An example of this for people who don't know http://www.giantbomb.com, is this, a quick look of Noby Noby Boy (one of my personal favorites) http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-noby-noby-boy/17-256/. I don't really know how this would fit in with the way you guys are discussing watching people play video games, because one of the main draws to watching these quick looks is listening to certain people that you expect hear say funny things.
  8. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

This message goes out to anybody who is not listening to the Gorillaz newest album, Plastic Beach: You really should be! Also, Broken Bells, the thing Dangermouse and James Mercer of The Shins collaborated on is pretty good.
  9. Comics

In my opinion, the Dark Tower graphic novels are superb, and highly recommended to any fans of the books. If you haven't read the original books by Stephen King, you should probably read those first before reading these comics.
  10. Twitter clients

I don't really use a desktop Twitter client, but on my iPod Touch, I really like Twitteriffic. I just use the free version since the ads are pretty unobtrusive.
  11. Books, books, books...

For a while now I've been trying to read the latest book in the A Song of Ice and Fire Series, A Feast of Crows. I don't know why, but I'm finding it fairly dull compared to the first three books, which I loved all of the way through. Has anyone here read these books? Does it get better?
  12. New people: Read this, say hi.

Well, I guess I was outed by Slayeric up back a few posts, so now I feel obliged to post here. I started listening to Idle Thumbs back last fall, and now I'm so glad that it's made its TRIUMPHANT RETURN. The Idle Thumbs Podcast is most likely the funniest podcast I listen to (despite not understanding any of the inside jokes...what does "scoops" even mean!?!) I sure hope I don't end up like that guy who got beat up by laughing on the bus because he was listening to the podcast.
