The Xbox already does this, except when you stand up and shout brand names alone in your bedroom, it just brings up more ads on Xbox. David Jaffe is on IGN's thing.

I bet they'll show at this Sony thing tomorrow. We all know it's on new consoles, and "we got bungie" would be a suitably epic micro$uck pwnage move.

Never played a Halo, but always liked the look of it! I love the lore of this giant sphere that just showed up.

I did, two trailers ago. What is all this stuff about mutant babies and shepard lamb stuff? i dunno lol! I didn't know anything going into Bioshock 1 and it made a huge impact. Also I didn't play the promotional web game.

I was delighted to watch the retrospective video and see U R NOT E right after posting that.

I can't wait to see what their fucking bonkers concept video is for this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89gqKJ1AtWA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJRbf76jXHE Some might say that they can't get any more racist, but I say never count Sony out!

Navigating menus like you do with an iPad. Done. That's the function. I won't be buying one til there's a game I have to buy, and yeah the trilogies we've had this generation are kind of over.I'm not as swayed by internet hype as I was back in 2007, so it might be a while if I ever buy a PS4 or whatever. Not joking: I would buy one faster if they brought back the Gamezville-style videos that used to be on the dashboard every week.

Speaking of web headline techniques (I just wanted to share this) I was just on Youtube and cracked up laughing at these related videos. HAhaha what a jerk. They're just regular videos of some dude playing PC games.

I think I fainted just now. It's kind of embarrassing and I'll probably avoid telling people in real life, so here's an internet thread instead! A couple days ago I went to watch Django Unchained with a friend, and he said "Oh- I just remembered, you can't handle seeing blood. You're really weak to stuff like that." and I said "What? No- where'd you hear that? That's made up!" and apparantly he just remembered it from somewhere. Why does everyone say that? It sounded like made-up bullshit to me. A couple days later-- right now: I was reading some conversation on the internet, and a guy mentioned something about how he has to get some surgery. The thing he's describing made me say "Oh crap, do I have that!?" and obviously I went to Wikipedia. I assume it was reading up on this surgery, cos I suddenly felt really sick, like I had the flu. Then Blinked. Then my head's boppin' against the floor, I'm weak and confused, and there's blood in my mouth. Everything's kind of knocked off my desk. I felt sick for a couple minutes, and now I look like I got beat up-- even though I've just bin sitting around the house today. So I guess now I have to explain to everyone "Oh, it's nothing, I fainted while sitting at my desk." It was pretty scary for a sec. I ate something right after. Man it's gonna be bad news if I ever have to do chemo or something!

I wonder if Kotaku has a responsibility to stop quoting tweets and randomly fuelling arguments with developers, considering it is the most popular source of game news updates. Cos I feel like most of the people who think "Warren Spector craps on Lollipop Chainsaw" is an interesting story only think that because Kotaku dressed it up as one, and that's the source of news that they trust. The other side of that coin is that they don't have a responsibility to do anything and people should have the capacity to decide what they think is important... it probably comes down to whether or not you think the mass blog-reading audience is aware enough to do that, and decide with their wallets (i.e web page hits) what's worth reading. ...I bet this is a really well-covered topic with actual newspapers. Also yea I watched all the DICE talks: really good. The talk about making Bastion multiplatform was interesting considering Unity is out there pushing the idea of making every version at once.

It could've bin a siezure, cos I tried to get up immeadiately but it felt like I was continuously falling over like I'm in a moving truck. I've not seen a doctor since I was about 4, so I don't know who my doctor is what I'm supposed to do about it. Nope! That's why I mentioned it; I've bin on the internet forever and hit as many shock sites as anyone else, but I guess this specific thing got me. Thinking about cartoonishly over-the-top gross things doesn't phase me at all. I got a nosebleed once coming out of a strip club, it was really hilarious for everyone who wasn't me.

It's a very unpleasant experience!

Yeah I watched this talk from a thread on the giantbomb forums about "warren spector slams lollipop chainsaw" or something and everyone saying "fuck this guy games should be about fun" for a few pages. I actually got sad and annoyed that this is where we are with this stuff.

Rolling down a hill that big in real life would beat the crap out of you, and then I guess you'd throw up immeadiately.

OH MY GOD THAT GUY'S HAIR!!!!! It feels like Witcher 2 only came out last year or something, I'm still mega impressed by these guys. I've never played these games before. Witcher 2 looked interesting, and I like that it was a gross, unfiltered, less predictable fantasy world than Skyrim or Dragon Age. Should I get Witcher 2? The spells and potions are interesting, right? I'm KIND OF worried that I'll get 5 hours in and it'll revert to dwarves and elves and boring forgettable politics and I'll be dragging myself to the finish line like Assassin's Creed 1. Maybe I'll get my new PC and Witcher 2'll be the first game on it.

Hey guys! I was wondering If you guys have received your KS Rewards, I can't find mine!

Seeing these out of order and out of context feels like having patchy amnesia memory. All I remember is something about "bolder" and "online" over and over again... Also am I the only person who sees this IBM guy and assumes it's Michael Caine every time?- 141 replies

Boy I hope we can have a new thread for when this stuff gets actually shown, cos I sure am not reading 13 pages. If PlayStation 4 ads are anywhere near as good as the gifs on this site, then Day One Perch.

Yeah that guy made a game called Blast Miner that he hates and never talks about. I'm never worried about what other people think of stuff I make, as much as just what I think of stuff I make. I'll feel a lot better once I go back to being super excited, and my next one'll definately be something I'll wanna show everyone and talk about all day. It's like you're doing all this awesome work for hours, then you take a break to doodle a funny comic and your mum walks in and says "OH IS THIS YOUR NEW COMPUTER GAME?? LOOKS LIKE FUN!" So I'm getting that feeling from it, where you rapidly minimize everything and get back to work.

Wow I didn't know Paperman was out! Looks like it only came out yesterday. lol that was EXTREMELY corny! I have the pixelated one right here, but what with it being so much dicks and shit, though, I didn't link it. Still cool.

Thought of You Just good animation. Is there more of a narrative to this? I don't know, you tell me. Les Chien Isoles A short about isolation, I think. The Backwater Gospel A short about bible fear. DyE - Fantasy Kinda NSFW in spots, but y'know, nothin' weird. Day and Night A funny concept! WELP!!!!! That's all I got on mystery, whimsy and good fun right now. Much like my games list, this is a playlist of things that just pass through over the years. A lot of these are from the Siggraph animation festival, the Goeblins school of applied art in France, or other student films; which means there's some incredible students out there. Also yeah I'm being vague, cos I don't want you to know the whole plot up-front.

Ok, last post about me, but I just got the sensation of seasickness right now when THIS happened. Yeah I think you guys are up to speed on how I feel about this game. It was a fun way to start a company and I'm surprised and glad that it's on Steam and it's doing OK, but I made those jokes about 2 years ago, and I've since decided to leave flash games in the dust. I watch every Quick Look and mailbag and I'm a GiantBomb fanatic, so the idea of finally GETTING PROPS as a developer from those guys, identifying as something that's so not my best... People in the comments already hate indie games, and I'm representing Greenlight, uggghh. I never thought getting to be on GiantBomb would be such a monkey-paw wish. If I get to the end of the week and there is no screenshot of this Flash game I made on the homepage of the site I visit every day- then OK. I'd feel pretty relieved. Anyway this is kind of a Day-1 prototype of this new thing: I'll update again only if anything big and significant happens. OH-- Keep an eye on Penny Arcade Report. Alex does most of our interviews, but this one was about comedy, so I really wanted to do it. QWOP is the greatest comedy game, there's a taster.

Yeah I thought about mentioning this in the combat thread, but I decided not to, because Zone of Enders actually doesn't have the best combat around. You ARE holding X while dashing to build up swarm lasers, right? Cos if you're facing clouds of the tiny enemies by slashing them all then oh boy. I do think that particular boss is too hard. You have to dash constantly to avoid his attacks, and really learn what his up-close combo pattern is so you can decide to hit him at the right time.
