Right now I'm doing pre-production art on our next game inbetween working on the current one. It's looking fairly likely that this will be our next project, which is good, cos I like it. I'm figuring out composition stuff like what fire and smoke should look like, what explosions and blood and water should look like, etc. Sometimes it's just me figuring out how to use Photoshop. This is more stuff I'll be using to inform pitch material and promotional assets later. There's a tonne of other small stuff that doesn't look as flashy or nice. Like this concepting, for example. I want this one guy to be a mysterious healer/engineer, but also fit in with the other guys, who are closer to jet-pirates. Anyway our actual current game is SpeedRunners, which now has weekly events every Thursday. These are modifiers on the game, . If you don't play on the day then you'll miss it, so keep up with the event calendar in-game.

I've bin happy as a clam since I moved over here in Holland, and I'm starting to care about videoagames a lot less. I don't have time to play em, read about em, and I listen to way less podcasts now that I'm not just at home by myself all day. I bet if I thought this over for a long time I'd find something really sad at the core of it- so fuck that! I'm gonna just continue enjoying myself, and catch up on GTA V when it all falls to pieces.

Hey, I made a very small game project over a few days called You Have To Eat The Other Guy's Poop. Here's me talking all about it, and about some other stuff. As with ever game project, I could sit here and talk about it all fucking day. Here's some art I scruffed out recently: Remember that jet-stealing game I had? It's been on the backburner as an official project for a while. It might be our next venture as a company, or it might not be. I drew this in pre-production to try and communicate what vibe and atmosphere I want the world to have, but it's not bright and adventurous enough!!! Must do another one!!!! I drew this, she liked it.

I just saw a cute thumbnail on Youtube with the words "Bee and Puppycat Part 2" on it... and I had to click that. I had so much fun!!! Haven't watched cartoons for a while, I'm such an idiot! "Secret best" is a good name for it. I said on Page 1 that Gravity Falls is really close to being just the best thing, and I still really hope Season 2 totally makes it. Some stuff is good, and other stuff is perfect! I'm not at the end, but this reminded me to catch up, so I'll catch up right now!!! I'm excited to find out what "story payoff" is. They've had things floating around since episode 1, but y'know, it's a cartoon. EDIT-- Oh y'know what? Speaking of cartoons, I had to argue with my boss today as to why he should stop getting so excited about motion capture. He thinks it's an animation-generator, and doesn't get the downside. I sniffed this out, and explained that the funnest stuff is the stuff people can't do in real life, but it just went around in circles. Ended up looking up a tonne of Woody clips. He's so amazing, the nutty stuff he does.
