Anyone remember that episode where Chris farts while trying to explain something?

If they just showed the guy flying at :38 crash into the tower cause he can't fly, it would have made my day.

I find that the only reason to ever go for mask is if the other team has some super strong dude that you need to take out as fast as possible within chronosphere. -
Idle Thumbs 85: "An Indulgent Dateline" or "An Indulgent Episode Title"
Coods replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I come back to this cast frequently just to listen to the first 15 or so minutes because it's the funniest thing ever. Hearing how the little diction foibles that Kirk utters are mocked by Jake and Chris is goddamn hilarious. -
Idle Thumbs 98: Happy Dishonored Return of Nick Breckon

I was aware of the return before the cast due to twitter, but I imagine the lack of a "and im nick breckon" in the beginning led to some hilarious confusion. -

The simcity 2000/ corrupt your daughters story was the best though. -

I don't have this game, but I want to say that every time I see this thread I can't help but think that it's about Battletoads.

I'm assuming that matchmaking with my level 1 friend put me in a game full of noobies, because I ended a game with level 25 in like 30 minutes, with 20 kills and 2 divine rapiers. -
I'm only 80 pages in and I'm surprised at how engrossed I already am in these stories. The usage of footnotes is interesting though, because Wallace not only uses them for the more "essayist", descriptive sections of the book, but also the narrative, dialogue parts. Being enthralled by the first appearance of , it was strange seeing a footnote appear in the middle of one of her sentences to expand on some drug nomenclature. In fact, the amount of detail he uses for drugs throughout the whole book is unusual (not in a bad way).

Maybe we'll have better luck if we straight up phalanx a 20-man group into a point instead of splitting up.

Someone should make a montage of all the times somebody talks about "the most x experience ive had in years", like the Journey thing Chris was talking about. Not mockingly, I'd be genuinely interesting into listening to all those little bits of epiphanies, because I'm pretty sure the Thumbs guys have made that claim a lot on the cast. Another example was that one time where Chris was talking about the funniest thing in years being that part in Arkham Asylum where Batman ignores that lady to have an Adam West-style monologue.

When is the Idle Sovereignty deploying again? I've been trying to get some certs for vehicle upgrades on the new guy I made for this. Also watch this awesome thing.

I usually consider this the same type of thing I feel in DayZ, where there really isn't any "goal" even if you've acquired enough to sustain and defend yourself. Really the difficulty is ramped up so high in DayZ that the player can easily make goals like going to an airfield or something. Planetside 2 has a pretty steep learning curve but I think it becomes much of the same thing if you have a full comprehension of weapons/vehicles/capture points. For example, making it your squad's mission to shut down the generator so tanks can roll through, or placing a sunderer inconspicuously under a bridge to help the entire faction move forward are really focused things you can task yourself with doing even though there's nobody telling you to do so.

I hear a lot about Thumbs games but have yet to find anyone in the group chat to talk to. Anyone down to play?
