Well, we all know that the first is just a slipped lug away from becoming the second!

Hoping to get locked in a virtual garage when it comes out on PC.

I think that SecretAsianMan's wrench hand just tightened reflexively.

It would have launched super close to AC4: Flag Harder and their marketing campaigns would have stomped all over each other. Even the other day Ubi's Facebook page had a "Which are you looking forward to most?" community face-off between the two.

Oh shiiii...! Great first episode there. Really good to hear about some of the characterization, narrative choices, and developmental history behind TWD. It's like The Game Design Round Table except with a focus on narrative design - oh, and an easily retrievable RSS feed, zinggg!

Awesome news. Thanks Steve! Forgive me if this isn't the right place to ask, but will there be an interview with a representative from The Phaedrus Group?

Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

Used one the last time. Was nice. Will consider it for next time Mr P. The international call was best. "Yes, we were wondering if you will be playing Grand Theft Auto Four tonight" -

Can't get onto the Mumble server. Might not have noticed CAPS LOCK was on when typing in my password. Multiple times. -
Well, the first day's mission is a gentle introduction. After ensuring your account is linked to Gearbox' Shift network, you've to beat the first boss, Knuckledragger, from way back in the Windshear Wastes right at the start of the game. Sure, later challenges are bound to involve the expansion packs - it's a good way to excite players and sell more copies. Taken in isolation I can't particularly begrudge them that extra revenue.

Oh I would agree with that, much of Borderlands 2 appears to be built around a too cynical Pavlovian feedback loop (especially in contrast to the first game) and I don't much see what either side has to gain from it. At least, certainly that was my feeling playing through last year. Maybe things'll be different now..

True. Might be because of Skylanders: Swap Force getting the Sunday this time around as well. Sneaky! Double sneaky on Nintendo for moving to the day before!!

Are any Thumbs thinking of going back to the Borderlands in search of new virtual loot and the possibility of real-world monetary and physical prizes? And are any thinking of doing so with entirely new characters and right from the start? Because that would suit me just fine, already run through it on console but about to start again on PC. (PS. I still have couple of extra copies for $2.50 if anyone fancies it)

Thanks, Sean, for bringing me to the realisation that the two Boston Dynamics staff setting up the WyldeKat and then fleeing before it gained self awareness were, in fact, what Pet Men have become. (Here's the video for anyone that wants further ringtone inspiration) -

Sunday's better for international levels of GFwL chaos though isn't it? (instead of just the usual EU-based GfWL carnage, that is) -

I too would enjoy playing Left 4 Dead 2 online, with Thumbs, on the Steam. -
Can you set up a halfpipe for some SecretAsianXGames?
-
I just had a load of Steam games download 0.5 - 1.5kb updates. Some of them were even 0.0kb in size. Guys, I think this means the Half-Life 3 ARG is starting. It's obvious, right?

Dirt cheap Borderlands 2? Bueller? Bueller?
-
Oh definitely agree with you there, that's what I'm hoping for towards the end of the year. The pass isn't part of the GamersGate weekend right now though.
-
Alright Thumbs. Who's up for splitting a Borderlands 2 four-pack? I nabbed one off GamersGate for supercheapsies. Steam redeemable, of course. Downside: it's the base game only. Doesn't contain any of the DLC - no pre-order bonus, extra characters, funny and pensive expansions, multitudinous skins and billions of hot-swappable heads and glolden keyz. Upside: it's super flippin' bananas in a pancake cheap. Like, 2.5 eurodollars cheap. I was going to wait for the Ultimate GOTY Compleat Compendium but at this price, all that extra gubbins can go on sale later.

Cheers! We'll have to take it as a GfWL quirk. It"s happened before, too, but I've always been able to see you as online and (apart from that one time in Reno) accept your invites.
