Damn it, but computers have become really complicated

Just updated my card's drivers. Updater reset the computer without warning when it was done. Very aggravating. Ok, there probably was a warning. -

In terms of sports performance he is still top of the rankings, but in terms of licensing costs and marketing value I agree. There's something to be said for honesty, but yeah, far too many of those FAQ answers were "No." The apparent MP3 / CD / Music Unlimited thing is really poor form. edit: Although obviously FLAC rulez. -
Was reminded today that the Trashbot steam account accepts all coupon trades.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

So yesterday was a bit of an EA day then. Definitely no PGA Tour Golf in 2014, definitely no Tiger Woods partnership thereafter, Titanfall 1 confirmed as a Microsoft lifetime exclusive, Simpsons: Tapped Out passing $100m but other mobile properties not given hard figures, and no Origin chat whatsoever. Oh, apart from that heavily circulated mystery Battlefield 3 code that appeared to allow unlimited activations for a number of hours. -
The part where it opened with Jake talking to Nick and thinking it would be funny if for this episode Nick became Explanatory Chris and Chris moved away from the microphone and only laughed while leaning back on his chair or whatever. Then Jake fooling Nick into a monologue discussion and Nick starting to do it back by only making listening noises but Jake realising what was happening and starting to smile but then keeping it together or maybe that's just what the game wanted me to think. This is excellent. It should play automatically whenever idlethumbs.net detects a Netscape user agent.

Path of Exile: It's pretty much a Diablo 2 sequel, but it's not Diablo 3!
Justin Leego replied to Niyeaux's topic in Video Gaming
So this is out on Steam now, and it looks significantly improved from early beta. That is to say, it looks stonking. My newb's account has the same name there as here (no space) (can't sync to Steam version yet due to email account issue). 4 gig re-download: initiated. -
Maybe they should have called it Video (Space) Engineers.

One suggestion is that there's a new Batman series and Rocksteady's doing it. Silver Era bat-ears. Autocorrect fixed that to Bananaman which could be good too.

The seven-year-old has just beaten you at Browser History Dota.

I thought this was going to be about the microtransaction strategy of The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

At a video games exhibit that I visited recently, there was a LAN area set up to run Data 2 and LoL. A seven-year-old had other ideas, though, alt tabbed out and navigated over to topbabygames.com It was a delight to behold (but also kind of horrifying).

But even before celebrating Grim Fandango Day?

So it's time for Christmas Cap Avatars already?

Looking forward to Episode 1 of Idle Mums

BigJ, maybe you could voice a smooth, rich, Brad Shoemaker-style intro for Tone Control, with instructions on how to set your listening device to mono? This post was brought to you by audible dot com.

On Idle Thumbs, the drunk thread is created by someone with an IQ of approx 5,000. Clyde, you are best.

I would agree with this.
