  1. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

He is actually normal size and just magically animated a Lego person.
  2. Idle Monaco: Breckon and Enterin'

Same. Was saying just yesterday there are a few of us with low low Monaco playtimes, Thumbing it up would be in order.
  3. Life

It was a total guess though.
  4. Life

Coupla grand I'd say. Total guess but a coupla grand. Get them to wait and pack your stuff in with another shipment to keep costs down and be prepared to wait a couple of weeks.
  5. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

    A weinhandler.
  6. I Had A Random Thought...

I would really like to replace the firmware on my relatively new but cheap and now unsupported smartphone device before said object makes good on transmogrifying into a branded brick once and for all, but my carrier has locked the bootloader permanently, so that ain't happening. Boo to that. BOO.
  7. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Or irritating. Perhaps it's relatively unobtrusive and just a cool little thing that they don't want people to miss?
  8. Return of the Steam Box!

Quote from the original on Trusted Reviews, then PCR, before MCV's edit: Looks like they are going for a market accustomed to upgrading their phone every year (rather than upgrading their console every 7 yrs as MCV says). I mean fair play to them for giving it a go, kinda surprising that Valve appears to be ok with it, but then you can't upgrade a home console part by part either... It's a PC for people who don't want the perceived hassle of upgrading.
  9. Speaking of emails from Blazing Griffin, did anything happen to the thumb-wide 300 key seed propogation revival of The Ship (with each key ancestor-in-waiting to another 4 gift keys) as proposed by BG's community manager back in Ep. 90's reader mail, or was it basically unfeasable?
  10. Nintendo 3DS

Ooh, is it out in Australia already? I thought they were doing pre-orders but didn't have a firm 2014 date yet. Interesting if so.
  11. San Francisco Residents!

On a short width browser tab, a page entitled "Charming Suite" gets shortened to "Charmin" which is a toilet paper brand name.
  12. How about that fellow that has sent in reader mail (reader (space) mail?) a couple of times in the last few episodes. He might be able to give you a couple of leads. ^^ edit: silly, silly suggestion ^^
  13. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

This guy is pretty good at playing the same note many times in a row.
  14. The Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary Committee

Oh! Quote for the new page. Yeah, same. The eyes follow wherever you go. So good!
  15. Tone Control 7: Brendon Chung!

1h15 and onwards, but it's much clearer now that I've listened to it again without distraction. Brendon asked if you'd had to shift the house over in order to accommodate any secret passageways, but in fact the only one that needed extra set dressing (beyond a secret door panel in the wall) was the connection between the parents' room and the library. I guess I was wondering what sort of differences there were between the minimap and the actual architecture of the game space. The 3D model at the end of this 2012 RPS preview isn't the most conventional floor plan layout in real world terms, I mean!
  16. Tone Control 7: Brendon Chung!

Yeah, thanks Tych! Steve, listening to the discussion about negative spaces in Gone Home, can you show us the difference between the house's conceptual floor plan - the one the player is supposed to think that the virtual house equates to - and as it would actually look if the in-game spaces were stiched together? Are they radically different?
  17. Games giveaway

I have a spare Steam code for Tales of Maj'Eyal from the Indie Gala January bundle - on the grounds that it isn't Deadly Premonition, Two Brothers, or Ballpoint Universe - so if any Thumb regulars would be interested in it for themselves or as a free gift for an appreciative friend, then do pipe up. (we have a thread for ToME here and you can get the free standalone, without Steam integration goodies, from te4.org)
  18. Spelunky!

Plus it's been bundled. Twice. Way to beat the zeitgeist, Bindy.
  19. Spelunky!

It's interesting to me that The Binding of Isaac is regularly in the Steam top 100 while Spelunky, with its Daily Challenge, isn't. Maybe I'm speculatively checking at the wrong time of day. Is it the power of BoILR?
  20. The Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary Committee

Tabacco, is there any way you can make this thread invisible to the forum profiles of the Idle Thumbs podpeople (and possibly Campo Santo, just to be safe) ? edit: Yeah it's possible that I don't get the rules of this conspiracy but I fully support it anyway.
  21. Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

It is only 7mb... sure, I'll get it downloaded. My main hesitation is that it's potentially adding another factor into the process by which Steam and GFWL randomly break access to GTA IV online.
  22. The Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary Committee

Yes. It would be funny. (Should the thread name be changed to include C/FNB as well?)
  23. Idle Bibles - An Idle Thumbs Bible Game

And then we are reminded that the big blue marine mammal was actually described as being a great fish (lit. monstrous sea beast (sort of (maybe))) rather than a whale, and so we revisit the scene. There's a lot of scope for things to get all Call of Juarez: Gunslinger with this one.
  24. Idle Bibles - An Idle Thumbs Bible Game

I'd like to play a version of Jonah and the Whale where it's not clear whether Jonah is an unreliable narrator fabricating the story in order to build up his own authority, or whether the whole thing is a satire. Afterwards, reviewers will call it the Terry Gilliam of Video Games.
