  1. Red Dead Redemption

I'm really not a GTA fan either, but I'm really looking forward to this game. For me it's the huge open world to explore, the western setting, and all the non-story things to do. The bounty and fame mechanics sound awesome too.
  2. Backlog Busters

No I have Borderlands for 360. I don't know what it is, but that game just kicks my ass. I'll go with Batman since I'm already a decent amount through it.
  3. Backlog Busters

Games I need to finish/start playing: Forza 3 Batman AA Dead Space Borderlands (kind of damned hard by yourself) Mass Effect 2 renegade/DLC playthrough Uncharted 2 (apparently it gets better after that fucking museum part) Napoleon Total War STALKER CoP Bioshock 2 Deus Ex Dragon Age suggestions?
  4. Life

Be one of those ultra-fucking-creepy people and knit it into a coat or something.
  5. Anyone Remember?

I think that was in an episode where Nick wasn't there, and Steve Hot Scoops Gaynor was, and towards the end of the run (40s). I think it might even be one of the first few episodes of The Idle Thumbs Podcast.
  6. Post your face!

    Illegal cows?
  7. Red Dead Redemption

Another trailer, this time on the Revolution.
  8. Lead and Gold

Anybody get this game? It's up on steam for about $14, if you preorder it and you get into the beta now. It's basically a Western, miniaturized TF2. I like it a lot because unlike every other PC shooter, I don't totally suck at it. Giantbomb has a quicklook of it up that's fairly representative. If you do decide to get it and there aren't any servers up, create one. For some reason people aren't making any servers so the ones that are there fill up quick. It's P2P for now, but for the full release it will be dedicated servers.
  9. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

The other guy is Australian though, so I hold them equally responsible.
  10. Post your face!

I saw that picture earlier today, and I honestly though that guy's face was on sideways. That guy is a fucking cartoon character.
  11. Life

Have a rough idea of when you'll be in Boston? I might be willing to go up there for a weekend. I really want to see the Constitution.
  12. The threat of Big Dog

Just imagine one of these, only instead of an elephant, it's a Big Dog
  13. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

It looks like one of the worst movies ever made, so it will be awesome. I wish Tarantino would get something to tack on to the movie, like a short or something. I don't this movie would be near as fun if there wasn't all the extra Grindhouse BS.
  14. Lead and Gold

I haven't played since he Beta because of the lag. The game is amazing and I love it, but they need to get the dedicated servers up soon or it might get lost forever for me. Especially with Red Dead coming out in two weeks.
  15. Recently completed video games

That's probably just his list of 80s romantic movies he really wishes he was in. I hope Flashdance is written in the same green marker that Bioshock 2 is.
  16. The threat of Big Dog

People are supposed to ride on Big dogs like horses. A future Big Dog though makes me think of some kind of Terminator Cyberdyne type of time travelling situation.
  17. Recently completed video games

You seem to have been really excited to beat Bioshock 2.
  18. What is the Mystery of Scoggins?

Although I could easily see them including all the pilots on the DVD for whatever series ends up being made
  19. What is the Mystery of Scoggins?

From Shacknews: Chances are this game won't ever see a DVD/physical release unless it's the one that ends up getting made into a series.
  20. Fallout 3

I'm don't know what instance you're talking about, but everything in fallout leads to something else. The problem is that the payoff is never that great. There are a bunch of unmarked quests that take you all over the wasteland but never end up getting you that much.
  21. Life

I recently saw a job posting for an agency I'm interested in whose job would be located in Molesworth UK. I looked it up and it's north of London, kinda halfway between London and Birmingham. I don't have anywhere near the qualifications for the job, but out of curiosity, is there anything up there? I watch a lot of British tv and movies but I've never heard anything about that area of England.
  22. Fallout: New Vegas

    200 years.
  23. Fallout: New Vegas

I was more referring to this but I agree.
  24. Fallout 3

If you don't plan on picking up any DLC (Broken Steel lets you continue the game) then just save when they tell you there's no turning back when Also there is 1 missable bobblehead that you can't just go back for at (just the name) when you get to it look up online where it is in the place. Every other bobblehead you can go and get whenever. Bobblehead hunting was a lot of fun for me. It gives you something to go hunt down after you've done everything else. It gets you to some really interesting places including a Lovecraftian little easter egg. Edit: you're getting close to the end (and very close to the bobblehead I was talking about above).
  25. Exams are shit. Discuss

Demolition company? You have no idea how hard this made me laugh as it's almost identical to this: jGIGYP0rX9A (the voice is from the director, but for some reason they left it in)
