I bit on the Telltale Everything pack. I've played the opening sequence for Sam and Max 301 and WOW, it's quite a bit different than 101 (the first/last S&M game I've played). I hope it holds up. How's Season 2?

I agree, hopefully they don't keep up the super convoluted plots that they started with the movies. It hampers the comedy.

The Sherlock Holmes games are half-off in the sale too, so too can witness creepy Watson.

Telltale Everything pack for $50? I might not have any excuse not to try out the Sam and Max games again (only played 101).

The no unit stacking is reason enough for me to buy it. I love CivIV so much, but I can't ever play it passed like the second difficult level, maybe this time it will be different.

I think it's this. It's in Huntsville, Alabama regardless.

They've also got a huge NASA center in Alabama somewhere.

So...I'm pretty sure the vuvuzelas at the World Cup are actually an army of approaching BigDogs. I (astoundingly) cannot find any good youtube clips of vuvuzelas, but I'm sure you know what they sound like. Compare: cHJJQ0zNNOM

You could hit the music cities (Memphis and Nashville) if blues and country appeal to you. Also, the World's Largest Ball of Twine would be on the way (it's in Kansas).

The game is finally out tonight in the US. I decided to start a new thread to keep it clean and easy to find people's names. Be sure to specify what system you're on. [360] Squid Division

Everything Peter Serafinowicz does is equally awesome and weird, and he's pretty damn awesome.

Marek's picture is on his twitter account (I think that's him). I'd post the picture here but that might be a little rude. His name is . His forum picture here is of someone else.

I used to have the water temple memorized. One of the most iconic video game levels to me. It still holds up great for me too.

True, but Napoleon is a considerably more difficult game due to the better battle AI and more difficult auto resolves. It's a better total war than Empire, but it's probably not the best place to start slowly. I'm holding you to Shogun being good.
-
The total war series is probably to the point of being way too complicated if you try to jump in all at once. However, what I did when I first got into the series was to learn the grand campaign (the turn based part) using auto resolve, and then slowly break into the RTS part. You can do that on the later games by setting the campaign difficulty higher and lowering the battle difficulty. I believe this affects the autoresolves. Empire has a pretty in depth tutorial mode based on the American War of Independence, so that might be a way to go.

I'm having a hard time making myself want to play this anymore. I feel like the story missions really drop off in quality and interest after Mexico. Guess I'll power through.

I can't say that the 'coolness factor' was the first thing I noticed. That would be the fact that you're some spaz holding a giant white plastic 'New Sniper Rifle for Wii'.

Dennis Hopper died today.

I've had that happen to me several times. It's that the old ones are stretched out.

When you get to you meet someone who teaches you how to use the third dead-eye. It's a combination of the first two, where you can use it to just slow down time, or you can manually place the X markers with RB/R1.
-
Oh yes, but it's an exploitation movie, so you're not supposed to take it seriously.
