Well since it seems like I'm the only one who has actually played the game yet, I'll go ahead and post my first impressions: My thread title was not wrong, because this is the most sequely sequel to ever sequel. The game starts off by replaying the last 30 seconds or so of the final Ezio cinematic from 2, then the gameplay picks up from there. The game gives you most all of the gadgets you had in 2 from the start, sword, shortsword, throwing knives, wrist blade, gun, medicine; without explaining any of it. In fact, the game never really explains a whole lot of anything that was in 2, including the story. There's a quick summary at the beginning of the game that retells the gist of 2, but it doesn't mention any of the characters, all of whom reappear. The game is absolutely packed in content, and the map reflects that in being so cluttered. That said, how you play the game is completely up to you. It sounds like the GB quicklook had a lot of the Assassin Contracts in it, which plays kind of like a football-manager-like mini game, but you don't have to do that at all. I too got real tired of the free-roaming in 2 towards the end of the game. It got tedious, especially in Venice, because it was so tall. This game is the same way, but offers warp points placed all over the map that you can go to and fast travel to another one. You can also have a horse in the city now, and any time you want, you can just press Y and you'll call your horse (ala RDR). It's a weird decision, because the streets aren't any less narrow, crowded, or nonsensical (damn Europe-y roads), but it works alright. For negatives, the map doesn't give you enough information. You can't tell if you've already renovated a building or not. Also, the writing seems to have gotten worse; Desmond's is worse than atrocious (which makes me worry about ACIII if he's going to be the assassin in it), and Machiavelli is a caricature of himself written by someone who read The Prince a little too literally (it's a satire). I haven't even tried the MP yet.

I'm for survival. Otherwise, what's the point of not duping? Not that I know how to regardless. Plus I like the idea of forming warbands to go exploring. It seems like it'd force community action and cooperation. -
Is it just me, or is that some of the worst writing ever put to page? It was even more hilarious when I thought it was about the game and I was waiting for the 'and then it melts your face!' moment.

I'm open to Top Gear USA, but there's no way it could be as good as Clarkson/May/Hamster.

Living just south of DC, this team created a really weird moment when, while listening to Idle Thumbs, my girlfriend came downstairs and said, 'Did you hear about the wizards?' No, no I hadn't.

All of this dammit.

Only if they get the same robotman

Well since Toblix's love for Metro panned out (damn game is messed up so I can't continue though) I'm looking forward to this. I already bought it based off the demo, which indicated a highly polished game, but haven't been home to play it.

Comic Jumper is full of genre references and refereces to other Twisted Pixel games. I haven't played enough of it to see any specific game references though.

Nah you can't replace humor like Jake's. Only transplant it.

It doesn't seem to happen as overtly in games as it does in other media (especially books and film). However, Hot Scoops' portions of Bioshock 2 was full of System Shock references if I recall his blog correctly.

You know, this thread has a distinct lack of airport anal and dickbutt envy that the tags promise.

For texture packs: I found this one: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46707 it kinda looks like Windwaker to me. -
Yeah around there, Woodbridge.

too? Where are you? I'm about 30 miles south of DC. For those of you that don't know, DC is filled with some of the most self-important people to ever exist.

Maybe the two are linked? I think you should come to the East coast. We're awful here.

Wow! Congrats Steve. I should probably play Minerva's Den then eh? (when it comes out on PC)

My advice would be to act how you normally act and do what you normally do, and eventually you'll meet someone though that, and they'll have the same interests usually. Men and women really aren't that different and there's just as much a chance that if you're nervous/attracted/whatever, they're feeling it too - so once you've got something started/a few dates in just be frank. I'm way too awkward to be suave, so I'm pretty upfront. This usually comes off as confidence to them. Just be honest and frank and believe in what you're saying and it'll come out however it's supposed to.

Nah, I was way out east working on my own stuff. From what jennoa said, fire won't burn unless someone is there, and it sounds like Jake warped back to the CC to get something. This arrival must have triggered the burning that was somehow started before the server was put back up. I think the first 3 people on after the update were me, jennoa, and Jake, and we weren't there. On a side note, the infinite lava spring trick doesn't work anymore, so lava is finite. Water still works the same as it used to. -

I've been keeping an eye on the goings-on for the update and it appears that (from Shacknews): So keep a bucket of lava around because you can't destroy the carts with anything other than lava or TNT. There's also: I went on our server and built a small (like 8 tracks) track and a cart, it seemed to work fine. HOORAY -

Apparently any servers using hey0 are down until it gets updated first. -
Plants vs. Zombies is great (in my opinion better than the PC version). There's Civilization Revolution, but I haven't put much time into that. Game Dev Story works great in the blown up mode, I've been playing tons of that.

So does that mean that the minecarts will really work? (Presuming that the patch does what it's supposed to)
