Huh? I use steam voice chat all the time and it works fine for me.
-
Yeah you can. I'm not quite sure how aiming would work. Nick said on twitter (in response to Chris asking how the controllers were) that it wasn't good.
-
Something other than high-fantasy would be cool, not too picky though. Is there a limit on the number of people that can be in a group? It seemed like the Robot Chicken group (6 + a DM) might have been pushing the upper limit.

I was messing around with the Idle Thumbs group page on Steam, and I noticed there was a chat room (nobody was in it), so I clicked on it and there's an option to start voice chat. Anyone know if this is group voice - something we could use in lieu of Skype, etc.?

I'd classify UP as an adventure movie, which is one of the reasons I loved it.
-
Are we going to try for 2000GMT tomorrow? I'm up, but I might need someone to remind me on steam.
-
Me. I actually didn't have a S class car ready so I took a stock Veyron out. It didn't go well.

Theoretically, couldn't the DM just point a webcam at the dungeon and Skype? Not sure how group video skype works, if it does, but it's a very low tech possibility. I'm more in favor of synchronous play, but asynchronous means more people can more easily participate.

Telltale to make Walking Dead and Fables games?
Squid Division replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
Man, must not be any danger of TTG resting on its laurels with Sam and Max. So this means TTG has: Bone (?) Sam and Max Wallace and Gromit Monkey Island Back to the Future Jurassic Park Walking Dead Fables AND possibly some more? -
I wish I had saved a replay of the pileup at the beginning of the Ring.

We seem to all be talking about D&D (right?). My only experience has been with the 4th edition through watching this series (really funny and informative): TJN1JvnRGWE

Marvel as the dynamic fire burns down the moon of Endor. I'd play it.
-
Whoops, didn't even notice it was Look Around you. I think it was the mustache/glasses/shirtlessness. But which estate agent from Spaced? Edit: Ahh that guy.
-
I would love to learn how to play D&D, but alas, none of my friends do. So I'd certainly be interested.
-
Your post with your avatar. Not sure why, but that guy reminded me of Nick Frost as Mike from Spaced.

The reason I thought of delaying it an hour is that it wouldn't put out the European thumbs that much, and the Americans who wouldn't be able to make the 2000 time would probably be able to get on for the second half or so.

I was wondering if anyone else was playing this. It's amazing how so many little changes from Empire can add up to such a different and better game. It's very constrained in every way compared to Empire; troops take way longer to build so armies won't spring up in a turn, which means your existing armies are way more important, the attrition system makes a pretty big difference - as Russia I was able to march through winter areas where the enemy couldn't follow me. For Total War veterans definitely play the game on at least Hard/Hard - I heard from reviews that the AI was passive and that the game was pretty easy overall, but that probably happened because of an easy difficulty setting. My one problem with the game is that there isn't as much civilization building as there was in Empire since all the buildings take so long and are so expensive. This could just be symptomatic of me playing as Russia and having to completely abandon Russia to get to the fight, however. Probably my favorite thing about the game is the return of the battle-markers on the campaign map. In older Total War games when you had a great battle where you defeated a superior force it put a little marker on the campaign map to commemorate it. It's so satisfying seeing those around, and I had a good 6 or so of those in one campaign, far more than I've ever had before.

Shame, I would have seriously considered playing a sequel if it fixed all the stuff people hated about it.

So 2000GMT, 3pm Eastern. Sounds fine to me. Toblix and Wrestlevania have admin access, so if that's a good time then I'll send Wrestle a message.

If you don't, she'll beat you. I've had the opposite thing. My brother and I have to find good DS games for our Mom every Christmas because she devours and annihilates them. Even games like Pokemon which are long, complex, and sometimes very hard.
-
Not sure what the usual time was for L4D, but any is good for me. Not sure if anyone here has administrator access to the steam group to put up a notice, but we should probably go ahead and do that for next sunday.

2 hours later would work best for us, but realistically, maybe an hour later? This thread has gotten me back to forza and I forgot how much fun it was. I'll try to be on for this week if there is one. I've been practicing up with my Fiat/Stratos/Charger. Are there any preferred tracks for those races? It's been a while since I've played, and there are some tracks I've never really played before. I'd like to get a little practice in so I'm not just spinning in circles hitting the walls.

I'm in.
