My biggest complaint has to be the quality of the puzzles. The rest were awesome, but those felt so simple and half-a-Portal-1-puzzle to me. I honestly didn't expect the game to be as long as it was, and it might have benefited from maybe trimming a small percentage of the set piece navigation.

I like the update so far. Been trying to suss out a better minecart booster system. You should jump on the Thumbs server Erkki

Nevermind. For some reason my virus scan updated and decided that minecraft.net was no longer safe. -

I randomly can't connect to the server anymore, after playing for a few hours this afternoon. This is the error I get: Any ideas? -
Just finished it. Goddamn, that ending. Also, " " has to be one of the best lines of dialogue ever.

I have some applications to fill out.

Ugh, stupid new Twitter, can't figure out how to link to a specific tweet. From Chris from a few hours ago: So yeah Chris was the guy. Ur-Quan Masters is free and (more importantly) has a few more patches/fixes doesn't it?

Ok this should work Powered carts are cool, but like anvil said, now that we have the nether, is there really a need for them? They're much more predictable and controllable compared to the randomness of creating portals, but so much slower. Maybe I'll finally get around and make that roller coaster I've had as an idea for a while. -
Portal 2 as a sequel: It's impossible to recreate the feeling you had when you first played the original Portal, but 2 is a perfect sequel in about every way. However, it seemed like it kind of jumped in very quickly and presumed you pretty much already knew what you were doing as far as how Portal works. It's not an unsafe presumption, but I feel like the first game did a MUCH better job introducing you to the concepts. I suppose it's for people who beat Portal 1 back when it came out (and not people who beat it a few days ago like me) to get used to the mechanics again - not for new people to jump into them.

Almost finished with my Frank Lloyd Wright mansion in the same bay as the Temple and ancient observation tower (down river from New Haven). Too many surfaces means that there are too many torches. I still have to decide what I'm going to do with the bottom floor too. Taken from the Temple: -

You need the updated launcher and the 1.4_01 bin folder files. I'd put it up presuming there's no issue with doing so? I have no idea, so someone let me know. -
I haven't beaten the game yet, but (chapter four or five spoilers?)

You need the newest launcher that's been the default on the main site for a few months. Just delete your shortcut and redownload minecraft from minecraft.net It'll prompt you when you start whether or not you want to update. -
Seems like they're upset about the bot customization DLC? I agree that it's stupid, but it's not that bad. THE INTERNET!! My main complaint so far is the loading screens. I loved how the first one just kind of paused the game and brought up a little loading icon during the elevator sequences. It never removed you from the testing facility. It's a small complaint but very jarring having just played Portal 1 and considering how fast some of the chambers can go.

I'm definitely up for it too. I'll want to play through the single player first though.

I too just beat Portal again. Has there ever been a more perfect puzzle game? Especially in the second 'half' where you're basically just left to your own devices; for some reason navigating a environment is kind of cooler. I kind of want to go back and play some Episode 2 now, but damn the underground sequence of that game is boring and drags on forever.

Valve is probably building some ARG buildings on it. On a related note, it looks like 1.5 will be out tomorrow. -
Apparently those 9 are some of the main ARG solvers. One of them was a member of Shacknews and someone posted a link to his steam profile. Glados took it over.
-
Honestly, I hope they do somehow. There should be repercussions for us being this stupid.
-
So basically, we won't until it happens. Which is kind of crap because it seems like it would be unlocked earlier if they counted immediately. Basically, I don't think valve was ever going to release it more than 24 hours early.

How would we even know about the potato acceleration (good lord) until it's all the sudden out, the steam bar updates? It doesn't seem like steam has been taking much into consideration for its estimate.
