  1. Paradox buys White Wolf

I hope something cool happens. I sure did dress in black and pretend to be a vampire in the 90s. I've also been getting down with the Kickstartery editions. I went for Vampire, Mage and Wraith, because those were my jams! edit: Also, it's worth mentioning that Paradox has a relationship with Obsidian, and if anyone could do a World of Darkness game right, it's them.
  2. Subterfuge

I think it only applies to the person setting it up, but I could be wrong. Maybe I just assumed the best! If anyone happens to see me in-game, my name is Kohr-Ah. If you're in the game I'm in now, I probably just attacked you out of the blue, so sorry about that.
  3. Idle Thumbs 233: World of Blanks

I'm sure it's come up here before.
  4. Idle Thumbs 233: World of Blanks

I have a specifically strong mental connection with that weird second-hand knowledge thing and CD-ROM games like Titanic: Adventure out of Time, because all those pre-rendered FMV confestabaloos looked so amazing in small, printed screenshots, so my imaginary version would be this fully interactive, 3D, shaded and texture mapped thing. Those screens did not show how juddery, blocky and slow the whole thing really was. Nothing against Titanic here, but CD-ROMS, man.
  5. Subterfuge

I started a private match. If you want to join, send me a private message on here, and I'll send you the link to the game! I did some of the tutorial missions, but I'm still way unprepared for the real thing!
  6. Episode 326: State of the RTS

I feel the same way. It's why I kinda like Theatre of War, even though it was kinda busted. I've been meaning to try out something from the Faces of Men: War Assault series.
  7. Chris, if you're really itching for a more authored experience after playing Sub Level Zero, the old Descent games are worth revisiting. I played them again about a year or so ago and they held up really well. There are a couple of source ports (DXX-Rebirth and D2X-XL) that will make it easier to get a good resolution and stuff, and they're easily configurable with whatever kind of controller(s) you want to use. They're just insanely well-designed games. The way the level design and enemy behavior and weapon systems all come together is just awesome, and it's still super fun. Also, it doesn't get much more 90s than the Descent II CD soundtrack.
  8. Nintendo Network ID Exchange Thread

Thanks, hahah! I have to admit I was proud when I came up with that stupid name. And it's never been already taken when I go to use it somewhere, which is always nice.
  9. Nintendo Network ID Exchange Thread

I'm DiaperDawg, and I think I just added everyone!
  10. Life

Congrats so hard!!!!!! It's so insane, but so wonderful. 2 months in, and we're still loving it over here: I just started going to work again. it's so fucking hard to say goodbye to that face in the morning.
  11. Super Mario Maker

Damn it, I already wanted a Wii U solely for this game, but seeing you people pass around levels is making it really hard to resist.
  12. Uncharted (4 and The Nathan Drake Collection)

I really respected the technical prowess of all three games, but found the action a bit tedious. The combat never ends, and the platforming lacks tension. But I'm still tempted to play them again. I guess it's like how you can appreciate a film for being visually interesting and technically inventive, even if the script is a total clunker. (Like how I love Prometheus, Fast & Furious 6 and Blade II.)
  13. Idle Thumbs 229: Sneaking for Carl

I also thought SOMA was in space, but also also, I think I had conflated it with Routine, the one that had the teaser with the floppy disks floating around a space station.
  14. Photos of things

Those bugs and birds are totally awesome. and I'm sure everyone wants to see yet another picture of my dog
  15. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

I love it! So, I ran into a bug at one point, where I couldn't pick up a cassette (Billy Idol - Rebel Yell) which would not stand, so I went back to the ACC to reload everything and try again. I went the super sneaky route:
  16. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Nice, mine was Tactical Octopus for a long time!
  17. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Show off your emblems! I'm proud of mine:
  18. Post your face!

Once again sporting a thumbs shirt.
  19. The Big FPS Playthrough MISSION COMPLETE

    Also, Blood.
  20. Life

I'm already worried about school for my little guy. I can't believe it's already been a week since he showed up. It's such a blur. Most of it was spent in the hospital, because he came via c-section, so we stuck around during my wife's recovery. We got so many hot tips'n'tricks from the nurses and doctors; I can't imagine going home right away. I heard that in some places, like the UK, new moms and kids go home like the next day. Yikes! I pretty much deal with poop all day and night, while my wife has been reduced to a shambling milk dispenser. But goddamn, it's the best. We love him so damn much already.
  21. Life

We can only hope he inherits my rude 'tude. Hopefully we'll meet again someday!
  22. Life

Thanks peeps! On my way back to the hospital where they've started inducing. Aaaahhhh!!! Farewell video games
  23. Life

I got married on Friday at the Office of the City Clerk! And today my new wife is in a delivery room at Lenox Hill, waiting for our son to be born. I'm running errands since he's arriving ahead of schedule and we hadn't put together our shit. Time to grab some chargers and clean underwear!
  24. This bums me out, because the CTF mode in Titanfall is so super fun. I kinda burned out on CTF in the old PC shooter glory days, but the combination of that old mode with the particular melange of Titanfall spices was fucking magic.
