(Sorry to multipost) I think you will find it much better when you can join in the chat via Skype, we kind of make 'rough' plans to assault a base or throw multiple first aid boxes at Patter's head for instance.

I think Thumbs is a better tag. Thumb is too individualistic, Thumbs; more inclusive. Also, we will be identified as Thumbs guys (see yesterday when we were asked to switch teams). Furthermore, I am of the opinion that Thumbs is friendlier than Thumb. Thumbs I say.

Just me with the Skype problem! What's your Skype tag? Mine is Armchair General (imaginative I know).

Yeah we 'tried' teamspeak in as much as we downloaded it (Pirate, me and maybe someone else I think) and could not figure out how to get it to work . Hence we moved to user friendly Skype. Skype seems to work very well (Earlier Armchair goof excepted) and I'm not really sure what the benefits of Teamspeak would be over Skype? Also, although not vital, many of us have exchanged Skype ID's so it's kind of already up and running.

I anticipate that DoW will win out this weekend due to the GODAWFUL mess that is Battlefield multiplayer at the moment.

Very patchy connection wise. You try loads of servers before you can get a game...well that's my experience. It's GONNA BE GREAT when we get the Thumbs on board I can FEEL IT.

Sorry to start a new thread for this but it's very annoying when this happens without warning. Steam is down for me tonight...server maintenance. Is it the same for anyone else? Also, is there anywhere that you can check the maintenance schedule for Steam?

I am slowly making my way through the single player...getting to grips with it a bit but still firmly at noob school. I am up for some EU gaming sometime over the weekend but with Battlefield coming out tomorrow, DoW may fall off the radar a little/lot...

Well. It turns out that DoWII was actually in my Steam games list..right at the bottom:erm: I didn't know it was there The long and short of it is; I like it and I want me a piece of the multiplayer action. I have no idea how to organise a game and I am crap at it but I do have enthusiasm so that's what counts.

There is a pre load..I am downloading it as we speak.
