Oh man. This game is dangerous. I seem incapable of sitting down and playing for anything less than 3.5 hours. It's like if I have something to do in that time span, I'm better off not even getting on the computer because once I'm sat down in front of the machine, the launcher thingy is right there. edit: Well, that's one way to get in shorter games, I guess, but I prefer to play on difficulties where I have a prayer of winning.

Finished my tutorial game. AI seemed not very concerned with self preservation but that's probably down to the low difficulty level. I guess it's time to move up a notch and get my ass whupped.

The graphics card in the M11X is better than the ones in these other machines you list, but the question you got to ask yourself is can you get used to an 11 inch screen (or do you have a spare monitor you can plug into it)?

I have it for ps3. I'm not very far in though. I read on the hothead forums that there's a gamebreaking bug further on and with Civ5 to occupy my time, I think I'm going to wait for a patch before continuing. My initial impressions, such as they are, can be found in the first comment here. The dialogue seems very much in the same style as the first game. I'm not 100% positive, but I pretty sure it's the same as the first one in terms of not being able to see weapons on his back. There's a library in the first town which has a book in it called "The Secret of Monkey Island by Ron Gilbert" which is amusing, but I couldn't find any way to read the book once I had checked it out/put it in my inventory. Guess Deathspank is too concerned with vanquishing evil to be bothered reading.

I'm squarely in this camp, but I think you draw the wrong conclusion from it. It may not be that interesting to be an artist, but it's still just as interesting to be a good artist worthy of other people's attention and time. And the question of what is good or worthwhile art is the more important/interesting one.

Hilarious Molyneux interview at Eurogamer Money quote: edit: day one perch!

You think? I mean I don't believe it's actual gameplay, but I can totally believe it's in-engine scripted.
-
Wow you weren't kidding about bad trailers. Especially with that second one.

Someone on GWJ forums brought this up, but it is SO TRUE. Bioshock Infinite = American McGee's Ratchet & Clank Think about it. Sky cities. Grinding on rails. Only darker

I know BG&E2 is still pretty much in rumour limbo so far as anything we know about it's status, but I came across this when randomly surfing wikipedia I mean I know wikipedia (unsourced wikipedia, anyways) is pretty dubious, but still. Amano?!? Weird. edit: google shows this has been picked up by giantbomb & kotaku, but also turns up a surfer girl connection which makes it even more dubious =(

Just watched Johnnie To's "Exiled." He's like an alternate dimension John Woo who stuck with HK gangster stuff instead of deciding he wanted to go off and make hollywood crap. OMG so much macho posturing with guns and badass trenchcoats. Awesome. XstjK4RBMCs

Yakuza 3, the closest thing you'll get to Shenmue 3?

Next installment of Yakuza to feature:zombies...and a dude with a gun-arm? -
I remember one or more of 2, 3, 4 you could fake it out because when you loaded a save from a previous one, it wouldn't know what class you were so you could tell it you were a paladin even if you weren't. I always thought it was most fun to put a single point into every skill at the beginning so you could always have the option of doing whatever neat thing came your way if you felt like it. (because new skills generally couldn't be learned over the course of the game, but existing skills could always be improved).

also, this space station rts thing is pretty good and FREE right now.

3>4, really? I mean what was there in 3 was fine, but there was so little of it.

monkey island 2 SE only 99 cents right now!

I think I'll wait for a title update before trying you for an online game. It was just way too annoying trying to get something going with my friend that we both gave up and decided to do other stuff instead. I really hope they iron that shit out.
-
Of dubious legality, but 1 thru 4 are apparently available to download from Abandonia

I've seen your psn status saying you've been playing Castlecrashers, but I've personally been having a heck of a time trying to get an online game going (all sorts of connections errors), you have any troubles on that front?

new Edge Magazine preview not much new info but: ...or not vg247 versus Edge Magazine catfight...GO!

For me, I think it often has a lot to do with the kind of games/titles currently out. If I'm in a lull, I can usually chalk it up to there not having been anything come our recently (or about to come out) that I'm super hyped about. I'm all for replaying older stuff, but my excitement level about gaming in general depends more on anticipation.

I called that particular spoiler something like 20 minutes into the movie. That film has plotholes you could pilot a Super Dimensional Fortress through and it wasn't near as good as any of the Bourne films, but it was ok as mindless entertainment. (Yeah, I did go there with the Macross/Robotech reference, what you gonna do 'bout it?) Oh I recently saw Samurai Avenger the Blind Wolf. Gfqrf7h3HPY I really liked it actually, but most people probably won't. It's a bit like Kill Bill, but a lot hokier. The acting is atrocious, but I'm tempted to think it's at least partially intentionally so. If you watch it and find you do like it, also check out Six String Samurai: pfTWYP4bE28
