Yep, I'd say Fez and Braid as well. I am somewhat biased in favor of Fez over Braid because I had to go to a walkthrough for some stuff in Braid whereas I didn't (except for the super, super esoteric stuff that doesn't count towards getting to the second ending) in Fez.

yeah ditto on figure. It's not a game, and I don't have delusions of making anything great with it, but it's tons of fun randomly mashing around and making something that sound decent.

As I understand it, the main way to leverage this is in a series of missions (which I haven't got to yet) where it becomes clear that completing the mission will hurt one stock, so you go and load up on its direct competitor for mad profitz. Thematically I think it makes sense that playing the stocks "fairly" is for chumps and the only way to really make money out of it is by rigging the game.

I don't know what it says about me (other than I have maybe watched Reservoir Dogs too often), but my first impulse when clothing shops opened up is to go grab a black/dark grey suit for each character. As if you can't be a serious business criminal if you aren't wearing a suit. I even did it with Trevor despite his missions (right when you unlock him) being all way the hell far away from the nearest Poisonby's.

Folks who enjoyed The Sun Also Rises may like Paul Bowles' The Sheltering Sky. They deal with similar subject matter, IMO. Paul Bowles is pretty great in general.

So I was tapping the right dpad to say hi to random pedestrians LIKE YOU DO NO I AM NOT WEIRD DONT JUDGE ME and one lady said "if you do that again, I'll call the cops." And I did. And she did. Then, without me harming anyone or even firing a shot, my one star status got upgraded to a two star status just because (I can only imagine the reason being? all I was doing was running away. on foot) the cops managed to take an innocent out in their attempt to get at me. Pro tip if you die a lot like me: the amount of money that gets deducted when you de is a percentage of your cash on hand (think it's 5%) so if you have extra cash on hand that you don't intend to spend right away, consider sticking it in a stock. so long as the stock price doesn't tank, you basically still have access to that money any time but it doesn't count towards the death penalty calculation.

Might it be a case where the the placement on hard drive can't be optimized in the same way the disc can because the other preexisting contents of the drive can cause fragmentation?

The one thing which made Red Dead the first rockstar game I finished was that you could just whistle for your horse and boom instant vehicle available which does a lot to make traversing those huge distances not so onerous. I doubt GTA5 will offer something like that, but that probably won't stop me from getting it (though it will probably stop me from finishing it).

So I know 3ma is all about strategy games, but this thread title had me hoping it was an in depth discussion of Hate Plus.

As far as I know there's nothing stopping you from having multiple playthroughs of Hate Plus on the go simultaneously if the enforced downtime is bothering you.

He's still not owning it. Everything "we" did not everything "I" did. "People who were upset" as if that were some completely unrelated phenomenon instead of "people I upset". Isolating his assholeishness to twitter as if that were the only arena in which he we was an asshole. But all of that is of little consequence when placed in the context of him situating pulling the merch as equivalent to creating it in the first place.
