I'm just going through the progress casts and listened to the one talking about Eminent Domain just makes me disappointed there aren't more of these kinds of these available for online mp. If there are all these board games, where are the computer nerds doing the same thing with this style of game? Sadly I'm only an artist, so I doubt my new passing hobby endeavor will get far.

Something called Starbase Orion sounded interesting but it's a mobile game, so erm. There is also an online version of Diplomacy too, but I've never played it, sounds maybe promising? Did they ever make a pc version of Imperial 2033? I'd still like the try that. Think there might be a gap in this super niche market right now... maybe we should start a kickstarter. lol.

I'm in the same boat, Marek. I've tried Minecraft before but have never just scratched the surface. The server is really teaching me what Minecraft is all about and when I get a better chunk of time, I will most certainly be trying to put something of worth together.

Cg Trailers shouldn't exist for a debut in my opinion. They are showing very little of the game which makes me skeptical. Looks more interesting than the screenshots they showed a while ago at least.

It's funny, as I said I like playing with a pioneer or colonist role in mind, but Minecraft, I don't think, was really ever intended for it. It's always about the start game for me, but the ramp up of hiding in a hole for saftey and making the colossus is very short. Now in a MP game the fact that I'll be playing 2 hours a week says I should just get over it and fly into creative mode so I can at least have something cool on the server.

Aw, this feels like every MMO experience I've had, miss one weekend and get left behind. There's already a city and dragon slaying? Are there going to be more Dragons? I didnt even know dragons were even added, I should play more.

I don't have the answers you're looking for, but I'd certainly be interested in a new Space Quest. It doesn't say anything about kickstarter, so I hope it isn't just the bandwagon of funding that got this going. If it's just the "Hey, we could make a classic adventure game again and people would play it!" Also add in the equation that the cost to make said games may have hit the sweet spot to be made and get a return back this year which may explain all of this. Its not so bad if this stuff sticks and we get some sweet games. edit: I just read the blurb, then watched the video; baffling.

Aw, I thought Orvidos made that tree by mining and he was just a minecraft wizard. But it looks great and is awesome. If I ever get my pc back or if it stops locking up at work, I'll be sure to build something. I like survival, so I will be building some huts until I gather some materials to build something good. I honestly don't know much about minecraft so I like figuring it out as I go and treat it like a game about pioneers.

How the hell did you guys build this stuff so quickly? Or was that done by creative admin? (if thats possible, I dont know anything about minecraft, I just roam around making hovels)

I dunno, there's a kid in me that thinks all of this stuff is fucking awesome. It's this 1990s video game ridiculous design going on and even if I know this is going nowhere, I'm glad it exists.

Aw that's disappointing...I wonder what they used since the three major packages are now owned by the same company it couldn't be that difficult to find an older version and export to a common format... but that would just another step/pain in the butt.
