Sour grapes? Someone just sold the promise of a stripped down, out of the box pc with a controller to play mobile games for 1.2 mil in 8 hours. How is that sour grapes?
-
You'd think after 3 or 4 mmos they'd know how to start the player off right.

Can't because the door is reinforced steel because the house belongs to a crazy military scientist who does genetic experiments in his underground lab hidden under the house. Gaynor really needs to visit this forum, we're solving all sorts of issues.

Or do the lock picking mini game mechanic.

Well, I'm in; dibs, I'll assume you are too. How many do we need?

Or is a advertising spam bot, hehehe. I love learning about games or game concepts I've never heard of or existed, or will ever exist. So I'm okay with threads like these, in fact I may even post one myself one day.

Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server

What's operation Skymall? The market you guys wanted to make in town? I'm still without a PC so basically useless with helping out. I had no idea the livestream was going to happen but I had to be at work yesterday so fired up Minecraft by chance for the first time in a month, so that wasa crazy coincidence and a lot of fun. Even began to build on my claimed island that everyone was kind enough to leave alone when they should have, hehehe. But much work still left and whenever my pc shows up I'll bruteforce it to completion asap. Also it was hilarious to see the love shack built over my hovel, my stuff was still buried underneth with was fun to discover. Had a huge plan to have an underground lair with lava until I found out we could transport lava so it can remain a hole in the ground as I'm off onto bigger things. Next time I'd like to see the thumbs go off on their own without a guide just to see what they discover. The tour was awesome to watch but getting a kick out of their reactions was the best and would be incredible if they found some of it by chance. -
It really takes awhile to get into The Watchmen™ but it's worth getting through until the end to realize it's why it's great. Also as far as super hero stuff goes , the first bits of Authority are pretty cool too, it's a better version of Justice League.

You may not like my choice as I thought the walking dead was not that great, but I'd start with The Watchmen, but from what I know of your list, any of them should be solid. Also, the Sandman series was fantastic, at least the ones I read, so start from the beginning as it's pretty cool. Oh and if you like super heroes, Kingdom Come was neat and the Ultimates 1 was good, though if you have seen any Marvel movie in the past 4 years, you've seen most of it before.

We're part of the Jake "Video Games" Rodkin fan club, we just talk about how we like and buy games but never play them. edit: Perfect, apparently I had 7 days to download and then got cut off. Didn't have my computer or time to play it until tonight and I was cut off. Going through support now... bleh.

Nah, no challenge, you just walk out the front door. My only question is, where's the game? This doesn't sound like a video game.

What platform? -
Hey Scrobbs, I just moved here a few months ago and so far the temperature has been rather chaotic. It's really hot some times, cooler the next all within the same day. The fog rolls around the city so depending on your area you'll get some sun or a really cold breeze. I'm from Canada and finding that the wind and evenings here are pretty cool. This is in July so I am assuming January (I was only here for two days in Jan) and it was reasonable for a January, light jacket weather for sure.

I must have missed that part, oops. edit: Oh weird, I re-listened to the ealy part and I missed where he said something along the lines of "you can't do this in civ 5, like you could in civ 4"; but then the rest of the conversation was the comparison of it. When I originally heard it I thought he was talking about the things he wish it did, not what Civ 4 actually achieved, lol.
-
Sean has played Civ 4, right? Because what he was describing of what he'd like sounded more like Civ 4 and possible Gods and Kings(I haven't played it, so I can't say for sure). Also the sports game thing... I don't play sports game with the exception of Madden back in the Xbox 1 days. I really got into it because it was just a fun game, the rule set of a football game really felt like a cool tactics game, just with a window dressing of something that doesn't really appeal to me. It's one of the reasons I never played Monday Night Combat. It looks really fun, but the theme, fiction, and presentation of being a "sport" really just turned me off.

Vanaman mentioning this on the cast today reminded me that I doodled something at some point way back when. I thought it was hilarious you'd call yourselves The Shitty Wizards and wanted to see some patches to go on badass leather biker jackets.

I bought it, but without a computer at home I haven't touched it, I was going to talk about it at one point. The giantbomb quicklook sold me on it and bought it right afterwards.

Question: What does it mean if the client shuts down afterwards, is that bad? Why does it matter?

Meet the Pyro - The last of the meet the team videos
Murdoc replied to ysbreker's topic in Video Gaming
Yeah, fully agree, I guess when I refer to "classic" I mean pretty much the time before the store and specifically, somewhere around the scout upgrade. I liked the idea of different load outs and it was hilarious to have to switch back and for just to "outwit" the other guys and it was all pretty manageable to keep track of at one point, but as you said, it's now over saturated. I should boot it up again since I haven't tried it since getting a new graphics card, I still love the art and still worth checking out just to bounce around and shoot some things. -
New Dave Gibbons, Charles Cecil, Revolution Software Adventure

Ya! The Watchmen game was awesome and totally didn't just look like a "Joe Blow game" so this could be amaaaazzzzinnnggg. Seriously though, talented guys might make something interesting, but it's really down to execution (I'm not saying anything we don't already know) so it's just hard for me to get excited with any superstar team, unless they were all consistent with quality games. -
Right... I'm not sure what happened there, I think I was in school and it got away from me. I'll be up for it, but am still without a computer, so best to stick me near the middle or end.
-
Weren't we talking about trying a game of diplomacy? Is that something that can be set up similarly to this? I'll investigate if anyone is interested.

yeah, thats the only reason I haven't bought it yet, I've been doodling MCPixels and will clean one of them up soonish. I shouldn't have watched the launch trailer with the live action dude, it sort of destroyed what Mcpixel look liked in my head and now all I can see is that live guy.
