You can actually apply for a personal license. I think one of the only differences is the credit underneath your app name. If it's a personal license, it'll have your name under it; if it's a company license, it'll have the company name under it. I think if you apply for the individual license, the only barrier to entry is the 100 dollar a year dev kit fee. That's about it.

Did you notice that, since you don't really have any karma for your own character, you find yourself more easily picking out things you want to say? With Mass Effect it sort of becomes a game in the game to always pick the purest choice, be it paragon or renegade. I tended to pick dialog choices more compulsively because of the Good guy/bad guy points attached to it.

I don't think it matters. I don't think we've talked about strategy the entire match, besides the ocassional "Hunted, smoked, charged" message. We still wooped your asses. I'd be for picking teams. We hardly ever get to play with evenly balanced teams, which means that there is one team getting decimated most of the time. That means for half of the players, that's an hour and a half of shit in which all of them are questioning why they're even playing. The times I've played a good, balanced match I can count on one hand and those were an absolute blast. Although the one with the drunk guy and the 2 stoned guys were pretty good too.

I bought it. It's been a while since Beta actually meant Beta and not "glorified demo". I've been enjoying it, from what little I played. Once they add dedicated servers I'll probably start playing more. With only P2P so far, it's been an absolute lag fest for me. 14 Bucks has been the perfect price for this game so far.

I asked my buddy next to me and he says that a useful source of programming information specifically for iPhone is the Apple iPhone dev center. They got a whole bunch of videos and stuff. Game design wise, if you're a first-timer, I really recommend you start with something simple. I see too many first-timers burn themselves with overly complicated projects. Also, have an idea of what you want to create before you actually start on something. I don't just mean visually, but game mechanic-wise. Structure-wise. I dunno... Some self-imposed deadlines might help you along, but personally I don't use any strict systems.
