I don't agree with the notion that game music has become either less interesting or that it used to be better in the past. At all. I'd like to hear why you think that, elmuerte, as I think that quality in games has increased across all disciplines. Snooglebum, when you say that in recent years, you can't remember a soundtrack that stood out to you; I am not sure how to respond to that. I mean really. As in: Really? Think about it.

What is wrong with this picture, besides that 2 of the 3 games aren't very good? edit: Make that 3 of the 3 games.

I thought there was going to be some sort of climax to the story where something awesome happened. He seemed to be building up to something... And then NOTHING HAPPENED. I DON'T GET IT. I will now proceed to ruin Master Chief for everyone... FOREVER. a2tVbCOpBT8 Now when you play Halo, this is what you think about. You're welcome.

No, some people had been writing that "Someday the Citizen Kane of games will come!" but this guy just claimed that it was already here, in the form of Metroid Prime. Not that there is anything wrong with Metroid Prime. Or, you know, James Cameron's Avatar: The Movie: The Game.

I've done that one before a few months ago, so 16/16. I can't remember what my first score ever was!

A tear ran down his cheek everytime he played, certainly. Yea, I believe if the donation is less than 32 cents, the developer earns about 0 cent. Though I guess you can choose to pay for the transaction costs?

Hey, congratulations! Any grand plans for the future now?

Yea, I had to google about the sun symbol, but apparently it means that your avatar has visited and production has been boosted for a while.

This long comic is kind of long:

Do you ever get that thing where you hear a word repeated so often that it loses all meaning? Mature... Mature... Maaatshuuuure. Isn't ESRB's role more trying to determine what the age appropriate range of a game is? They might call it 'M for Mature', but they could've just called it 18+ like PEGI does. It says absolutely nothing about maturity. Now, I don't want to be a petty asshole but, it does seem like a valid criticism since the main point of the article is about maturity in video games. It concerns this: You're 17. How can you answer the questions you ask yourself when you're not even mature yourself? Personally, I don't really care. It either is or it isn't.

http://store.steampowered.com/freeportal/ Now here's a deal for people who still haven't played Portal!

That is the best and most awesome Skate™ video compilation I've ever seen.

It's the standard Microsoft deal where they pretend they're not going to do a PC version for about 6 months to a year. Sooner if it doesn't sell. There is no way in hell that they're not going to do a PC version. It will come! I believe you are looking for this

Yes. ... What? Let me give you a list of things the Kindle doesn't do; that's why it rocks! As long as eReaders are so goddamn expensive, I'm not getting one. When you can get one for 50 or 60 bucks, then it becomes an interesting proposition. Maybe Kindle isn't the one that's going to do it right. Ah, I'm sure it'll work itself out in time. Maybe a tablet where you can just go to a digital bookstore and buy whatever you want from whichever vendor. Competition in both hardware and software, in my opinion!

I watched Universal Soldier: Regeneration; a 2009 film starring Jean Claude van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. Yes. Let that sink in. Saw this just as I was about to hit post. Nice coincidence.

I started out working on mods for other games and it wasn't until recently that I started working on my own projects. I'm having a lot of fun with it, though it's hard. I don't expect to make a lot of money on what I'm making now, but I'm also in a position where I don't really have to worry about any of that. I'm aware that that is certainly not the norm. Making games from your bedroom, it can work out, but the vast majority of indies can't support themselves making just games. i.e. They need a job to support their game making habits. You need an insane amount of passion to even be able to do the work. Making games is HARD, however it is certainly the most fulfilling job I can think of doing. Where a job doesn't really feel like a job and you get to exclaim "I get money doing this!? HAHA!" I've never been a part of the grind, a conscious choice, which is maybe why I seem to be a little bit more positive. I'm cutting it kind of close here.

AAAAAAH!! This is going to be amazing! Another game I have to buy. Oh woe is me. Thumbateer Co-op launch party, to be honest.

I knew this... It was late when I posted it.

If the new Wii Zelda game isn't there, then Nintendo can go fuck itself. I don't know. It hasn't been as relevant when they made it a behind-closed-doors-thing, but they went back to the old formula, a little, last year. I remember it was a lot more exciting in 2009 than it was the year before.

It's still more than a month off. I'm excited for it, though I'm not going. Really interested in the big three press conferences and the flood of new game info. Why would it no loger be interesting for serious journalists? Valve should totally show off Portal 2 and Counter-Strike 2.

It's Diglett with a human face and a hat.

It's actually quite clever like that. It keeps it like this for a few days and then it edits the posts and puts in ads.
