Actually, Seanbaby is great. That is a funny writer dude. Speaking of funny.

Yes, the CG stuff has been awesome so far, but the actual gameplay is World of Warcraft-esque with a Star Wars sauce. Nothing bad, mind you, but not particularly inspired. I'll probably try it and then get bored with it after a few weeks, like I do with every MMO.

Personally, I loved the first movie "Bender's Big Score", but I thought the rest of the movies were rather weak. Probably because the first movie was like one giant fan-service film, bringing back almost all characters. Totally looking forward to the new season. I read that it starts out with like an hour long special, so yay!

Oh man, the landsmeet. It's funny that I only realized this once I had seen both those scenes play out.

I really don't understand why the Kevin Butler thing was so well received. I like the commercials, I think they're good in a comedic way, but looking at that dude on a stage and the crowd cheering like madmen. He's a walking commercial for crying out loud. It was one of the most awkward things for me to watch about the press conference. Keep Kevin Buttler in the commercials. Getting him up on stage, to me, feels like missing a giant point of which I'm not sure exactly what it is. And speaking of clapping like madmen, what the fuck was up with the crowd in general? At almost every big press conference, you had a (what sounded like) large contingency of folks cheering like idiots. I'm fine with being excited for something, but isn't this supposed to be a press only event? Aren't those guys there on a professional capacity? I'm not saying you can't have fun and not be excited, but jesus, show some composure. Not to mention the crowd reaction when that Don Hattrick, or whatever he's called, revealed that everyone was getting a free Xbox Slim. Embarrassment is what I felt and I'm not even press.

I guess you got what you paid for.

I wouldn't really know how to sell the comics to you, Miffy, I think I understand, although I'm not sure what is about the style that bothers you so. What I found enjoyable about the comics was solid writing, the off the wall humor and how the writer mixes an everyday-slice-of-life-world with crazy super-powered moments, with complete normalcy. It's light-hearted, sometimes whimsical and never takes itself too seriously. I take the gaming references and influences in the comic as a result of the author celebrating his heritage of having grown up on video games and comics. If the writer relied on any stereotypes, then I missed it or wasn't aware of them. Oh, and on the movie; I'm so glad that Edgar Wright is directing this thing, as I remember him being rather perfectionistic. Maybe he can get a decent performance out of Michael Cera, instead of Michael Cera playing Michael Cera. Maybe, just maybe, we'll get to see Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, but then -- it's nice to want things.

Kind of besides the point, but that is a disgusting excuse for news.

/\/\/\ I have a keyboard hooked up to my PS3, which makes messaging a lot easier. I do think joining a friend in a match is more difficult than it should be. As soon as I get the invite, I would just like to press a button and join, instead of having to go to the friends list, opening the message and joining the game. At least, that's how it worked last time. So, awesome news if this turns out to be a reality. Cross co-op play between PC and PS3. Portal 2 would be perfect for it too, because it's not a competitive game like Shadowrun was.

Holy crap, folks. I'm sitting here in a lounge chair on the beach, nary a person in sight, a glass of wine, and the sun in my face. Also, free wi-fi! Does it get any better than this!? Possibly, but this is pretty damn great!

I think, at the press conference they said it was Ancel and like a team of 5 people. I thought it looked damn sweet. Beautiful animation and art. The Ubi conf had a bunch of wahja shit though... Rayman definitely stuck in my mind as the most memorable game of that whole thing.

Nothing. Besides the Kinect shit, they showed Gears of War 3, Halo: Reach, Metal Gear: Rising and Fable 3. That was about it. I think some of the Konect stuff might be good for the Wii crowd (not meant as putdown), but I care very little. Kind of dreading the Sony one, because you know they'll show a bunch of Move shit that evokes the same feeling I have about Kinect. Moreso because Move is so much more like Wii. At least the David Jaffe game will be revealed!

I think all our sentiments so far are the same, although I don't mind the Xbox360 slim look, but holy shit, what a snooze fest that was. Nintendo might 1up MS in terms of, uh, scriptedness, but at least you know they've got some cool unknowns. There was absolutely nothing that surprised me or excited me. I am kind of discounting all of the Kinect stuff, though. None of the software they showed could even get me remotely excited for the thing, as a consumer. Did you notice, by the way, how they conveniently forgot to mention a price point for Kinect? I have a feeling that that thing is going to be expensive... And was it just me or was there a small group of people in the audience cheering and clapping like retards at fucking everything? For your enjoyment. The Dancing game set to Guile's Stage theme. iTYtH28esTg I also watched the EA presser, which was a lot more fun to watch. Generally less yapping and more games. I have to say that, since I was watching a low bitrate stream, when I saw Medal of Honor gameplay; if you had told me that I was looking at the new CoD multiplayer, I would've believed it. Keep hearing the term "Bad Company 2 lite" so guess I'll see. Hopefully I'll get to check out the beta. Anyhoo, I can't imagine Nintendo and Sony coming with a worse presser, so I'm still kind of looking forward to it.

Eh. It's a half-decent who-dunnit series. Nathan Fillion is the best thing about it, really.

Well, I hope they read this thread then! MUAHAHAHA!! Played it with General, Pilgers and non-thumb but still awesome dude Al yesterday, Patters giving us moral support. It's the first fan-made campaign I played that has a nice amount of polish.

I like the vibe and setting, but so far I have no idea if this is just another shooter or actually in some way similar to the original games. They didn't really foreshadow any other mechanics, besides the "RESEARCH" text thing. For all we know, it's just the camera thing from Bioshock all over again. I'm pretty sure I would care a lot less about this if it didn't have the X-Com name.

Good job, Miffy! Congratulations to the max.

Ah! Those sneaky bastards! Did you see the menu overhaul they did yet? it's quite sleek.

So, www.teamfortress.com.br, eh? That's pretty damn good. Bravo to the person who made that.

A new multiplayer game (for the times when left for lobby gets too much)
Lu replied to Armchair General's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I'd totally be up for that. -
Man, what if your penis was a rotating 4D cube. That would be such a mind fuck. Glad that you are alright.
