Have been playing with friends 4vs4 against strangers. Tons of fun. Lasted 40 minutes, constant back and forth but in the end we proved victorious! They went with masses of marines. I only built 2 colossi, because I was on anti-air detail, but together those colossus killed 100+ dudes during the game. Really impressed with the overall package. This game is definitely going to last me a while.

Yes, I pretty much agree. It was also easier for me to place myself into Geralt when he ran into someone he was supposed to know. I could play more as myself, rather then have all kinds of things forced upon me by a predefined character.

Seriously though, I'm sounding super negative now, but I did have fun with lots of the campaign and am having a blast with multiplayer (I suck). I'm just a bit disappointed. Have ye tried turnin' it on 'n off again? (Not helping)

Just finished the singleplayer campaign and it left me feeling completely apathetic. Maybe it's because I expected something epic, but what I got was... StarCraft. I was thinking "Oh, they're probably saving the crescendo for the last few missions", but I feel that it never really came. That and all the characters are shallow. I think it might be because the singleplayer is so incredibly heavily structured. 26 missions, timed to last about half an hour each and though they mix things up with fun twists to the existing gameplay, it doesn't really take away the rigidity of the uh... overall thing? Glad I got it mostly for multiplayer, because I'd have buyers remorse if I bought it purely for singleplayer.

Indeed, it's a terrible cliché, I agree. Sometimes it fits and in this game I thought it fit, is wut m sayink.

What I find even more annoying that I can't even add people to my friendslist cross-region. At this point it's a minor nitpick, since most of them are on Steam friendslist anyway, so I can just use the overlay. I'm just kind of annoyed at how closed off the system is and how much you are at Blizzard's mercy for... Well... Anything. It makes me feel uncomfortable. Not saying that Steam isn't closed off as well, but that feels a bit different. Is it, though? I haven't really thought about it...

I woke up this morning, walked to my mailbox, got SC2, installed it. Been playing all day. It's great. Rodi, they sent my copy by mail, so some retailers must've gotten it at least a day before.

Oh boy, oh boy! They sent my copy out in the mail today, which means I'll get it tomorrow on launch day. Now, more than anything else, I'm really eager to play the campaign and see what Blizzard made of it.

I went full combat myself. I don't think that there was ever a group that survived my full 5 combo group style attack. I think I achieved it once. It was awesome. Overall, even if all you did was click, I thought the combat looked quite visually pleasing. I think the amnesia kind of fits, as it also gives the character some leeway in making choices that the character might not ordinarily make. In that sense, you are Geralt, but Geralt is still very much his own character.
