Sleepdance kicked my ass and I liked it.

Just the last bit of the youtube link (so WPT3_JOjUI8, the identifier). It's a bit confusing, I know.

This isn't even funny.

I don't even have to look up that Destructoid review to know that it is by Jim Sterling. One thing I found funny and odd related the game, is that in one of the trailers "Ultra violence" is one of the bullet points they use to promote the game...

Ah yes. 'Blix's Battlespaceshippyflightcruiser was impressive, though. And very fast how, Sleepdance? I kind of felt like I was asleep at the wheel during the later half of our 2nd game. Completely forgot about probe building. I only realized at the last possible moment and then it was too late. xD

So here is this bag of shit and here I have another bag of shit; which smells worse?

Does not listening to music and just focusing on programming make you more detail oriented? FPWEJMGxTBs Ballad of the Wind Fish!

Holy crap. That is also really cool of Dickinson and co. but holy crap. Glad you're okay. That cloud in the video is absolutely awe inducing.

Not so much a higher standard for this game in specific (not talking for Chris), but a higher standard from Blizzard. For a game that is so polished on almost all fronts, it's the story/storytelling and writing that sticks out like a sore thumb. Does comparing it to other games somehow make it less awful than it is? It's absolutely useless to me, to point to other games and compare, as those are not games we are talking about. It's a bit of a non-point to me. Edit: Uh, sorry if I came off as a bit strong there.

And my presence, so I think it'll be okay. That's not self-important at all!

I didn't have a modem for about 2 weeks once and it worked fine for me at the time. Granted I only played Borderlands and Portal. Might work for some games, but not for others. This was months ago, by the way.

At the end of Bioshock: Infinite, the balloons pop and the entire city slowly descends into the sea, becoming the early Rapture. After that, Irrational Games starts working on Bioshock 1 again, then comes Bioshock 2 and then comes Bioshock: Infinite. It's like we are all watching this at the same time. Watched the last episode yesterday. Cliiiffhangeeeeer!!!

Does this even take place in the same universe? This is all very confusing.

Well, as you pushed along, the world opened up. You could back track to any location you had previously visited, and occasionally you had to in order to advance the plot. It was very Metroid-esque in that sense; constantly pushing forwards into new areas, revisiting old areas with new gadgets to find something new. Basically the only business you had going off the beaten path, was to do riddler puzzles or find collectables. That's how I remember it, at least.

God, I hope not. Batman or not, but open world stuff always ends up boring the shit out of me. I like the more focused nature of a Metroid/Zelda type experience, where the world slowly opens up to you though always keeping you on a track with something to do. Don't think it would improve the game for me if they opened it up even more. GTA type stuff just really isn't my cup of tea. I got way too excited when I read that you can do multiple counters at the same time... Also really happy to read that they're going to do more with the forensics stuff. Detective Batman is on the case! POW!

I read today that yesterday BBC announced a 2nd series of Sherlock. So weeeee!

Good thinking, Patski. edit: Sorry, completely missed these 2 posts, guys. Want to duke it out Thunderdome style?

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 11: Diplomatic Pouch
Lu replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Congratulations Chris! I'm not really all that surprised. Can you say yet what your role will be on the team? Shawn Elliot works there too; he makes and has made good podcasts.
