The game me and a friend made is out and for sale in the iTunes app store! It's totally indie, because we made it in our spare time and in my bedroom (hot). Less indie is that it costs money, but I hope it's still worth your time! It runs on pretty much on any iPhone and iTouch, as long as it's iOS 3.0 or higher.

I've been so tired lately... I can't remember who helped me fix the glass tunnel. It was either Orvidos or Asembo. Anyway, it's awesome. Go take a look at the Glass Hole.

Gee, in trying to remove the dirt bridge leading to Hermie's house (it was ruining my view!), I figured "I know! Let's build a glass underwater TUNNEL!" and in doing so fucked up the flow of the water which will not cover glass. Sorry, Hermie! But look on the bright side. Now you have a bridge that you can walk under and over. Water propagation in this game is WEIRD. It also ruined my cavern house pool idea.

That was tons of fun, guys. Built a gigantic... Thing... Together with Thompson and a whole bunch of other Thumbs! You guys are the best.

Tis quite good. The difficulty makes me scared shitless of new areas when I have a reasonable amount of souls though. Everything in that world is trying to kill you. Usually the game makes you feel like you fucked up, though I got killed once by an enemy who attacked me through a wall... Bad language might have been used.

If the combat system is decent, then sure. Though I'm not sure if I agree that it's typical Japanese bullshit, considering the Western developer... What I've seen so far in terms of "acting" has been a lot more restrained then what I'd expect out of Japanese stuff. We'll see, of course. This is just wishful thinking, but I'm hoping they pull a Batman: Arkham Asylum. I agree, I'm kind of in the same boat. Never played it as a kid as I didn't really like it. This totally sparkles with me, though.

Yes, I am, but no online multiplayer or local co-op, so no buy. I normally like the Japanese dubs, but fuck it, give me Patrick Stewart and Robert Carlyle. Really digging the vibe; more Western, seems right. I'll await what the reviews say about the gameplay, but if it's good then it's probably a day one perch for me. Not even a Castlevania fan, just really liking what I'm seeing.

I think a loooooot of people share in your frustration. It's tough to not become jaded and have a growing resentment for Video game players. It's communities like this that make me go "You know, it's not so bad". Though it seems places like this are utterly rare.
