The traveler obviously came from a distant future where time travel is possible and where mobile talking devices are not at all dependent on satellites and stuff like that. It's so obvious that I think you are all kind of dumb for not seeing it that way.

I stopped using Trillian, because using MSN on that would sometimes drop entire lines of text without any notice or whatever, so you would get some very confusing conversations... Especially annoying when someone asks you something and then you type an answer and it never arrives... Mind you, this was years ago, so it might've changed with that whole new look thing and stuff... I just use Pidgin now. Suits me fine.

I watched Exit Through The Gift Shop, which I found to be really fun to watch. It's about this French guy who got this obsession with filming street artists do their work and then Banksy, an infamous street artist, making a documentary about that guy. There are some questions, like if the film itself is an elaborate hoax by Banksy himself, but damn if it isn't a good watch. It's so awesome to see those guys working.

We should play through it together. The boss fights seem easier with more people. We'll take some good preparation with making painkillers and such and I think we'll be alright.

He's a big games as art proponent, so he has his own ideas about that and such and such.

I think there is a rather big difference between hiding those things away for the player to find and just putting them right in your face. Like when in Starcraft 2 I did some underground tunnel mission where I came across some marines who did their scripted thing and then them going "game over, man, GAME OVER" when I met them. Feels out of place and cheap; elicited a roll of my eyes instead of a smile. Blizzard always put some amount of silliness in their games, but most of the time it was under the surface.

Did it? I'm pretty sure things were always the same level in all areas.

Yea, I don't think this will change anything. This sounds eerily familiar to some of my friends' stories who got laid off last year, which is why I'm sympathetic to his cause. Not so much sympathetic to his tone, though. I understand the bitterness and resentment and the inability to do something about management, but geez. The entire thing reads like a childish temper tantrum, but I guess I kind of understand. Hope he'll land a new, better job. Feeling that it might not be in the gaming industry next time.

Okay, so going from the Sacrifice to No Mercy I had 3 realizations. The first, is that the non-DLC campaigns are way too fucking long for my taste. The second being that I don't like ANY of the campaign finales. The third and final being that it was really awesome to play with you guys again! We really should invest in a game again so we can all play together. I'm still holding out a large hope for Brink, personally! Otherwise it's probably going to be L4D3.

I fucking HATE HATE HATE HATE the fucking bossfights. They suck the motivation to play this game out of meeeeee.

Well, just like with any game. Just ask if you want to play and I will answer with a yes or no depending on how I'm feeling at the time. I'm on the PC by the way. I accidentally put on a different outfit, though. No more coconut bra for now.
