I went to see Due Date at the Movie Tavern. Movie Tavern is the best concept ever. Being served dinner and drinks while watching a movie? MORE PLEASE. Due Date was alright, but I think the Tavern helped. The relationship the characters had made no sense to me, but I just went with it and I enjoyed it.

I r in the US, stealing ur women. So yes, some delays and a missed connection because of it, but otherwise okay. I had to go through customs where the guy asked me where I was going and why. So I said vacation in Kentucky, to which he raised his eyebrows and went " Really? Why??" Completely caught me off guard and made me stumble like an idiot, but in retrospect it was funny. Visiting friends here in Lexington. Moving up to St. Louis next week to spend time with other friends too. Haven't seen them in a year, so should be fun!

Does it count as exclusive if it's released on PC as well? Other than that, Halo seems pretty exclusive! Halo, Fable and Gears of War are their big ones, aren't they? Also, The definitive Forza. Alan Wake. Uhm... That Splinter Cell thing. I only have a PS3 and the PS3 has no games lol You know, I rightly don't know... I've not seen all system exclusives been put in a side-by-side list.

I'm sure I've said this before, but they should make stuff like Kinect and PSeye standard input devices that come with the console. Body/headtracking and voice recognition would be a nice addition of tools for game designers to make use of. Not required, but there if you want/need it.

Well said, Miffy. It would seem that the need for context would depend on the audience you're writing for. In the case Civ5 of it would seem that an outsiders perspective and one who can see the game in context of the rest of the series would be equally useful. And I agree with you too, Vimes, that if you're doing an analysis, all that stuff would be important. So why don't we ever see critical analyses of games after games have been released? I'd be super interested to read things something like that. Or maybe it is being done but I'm not looking in the right places?

I'm a bit late to the party, but I finished the demo twice now and I'm really not sure. The game often gives you this illusion of control and I'm kind of okay with that if the bits where you do actually control your character didn't feel awkward and stiff? It's not bad... Just not great either. Still, I had the drive to keep playing and find out what happened next. Will probably get this game at some point in time, but definitely not at full price. Oh, and how often are you gonna make me watch these human folks getting blown up? Moments like that felt too scripted for my taste. /minornitpick What worries me is that they handed of Devil May Cry to these developers, which I would assume would have a combat focus, yet nothing these folks have done convinces me that they're capable of creating a tight combat system. Will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Actually, ignore that. Everyone is farming hats and it's fucking annoying. I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME.
