Roger Ebert rehashes old debate even indie hipsters are tired of
Lu replied to Forbin's topic in Video Gaming
You are arguing something completely different to the point I was making. Music has been a part of every human culture, which is why it is a universal. If you notice, play is on there as well. Trying to argue that movies are art by drawing parallels to music would be equally as useless. That's a rather odd hypothetical. Not sure what to say to that, besides that I don't agree with that premise. But, Snoogs, is it ert? -

It really isn't, though. Music has an indescribable quality that seems to be universal to all of us. Although play has always been a part of us, of culture, it's not remotely similar. We don't need to draw parallels. Games can stand on their own. Arguing about whether they are art or not, sounds to me like desperate screams for legitimacy. edit: I made an edit -
Oh man, I still would've loved some sort of side-quest that was initiated when more than one store had the exact same endorsement. The endorsement thing is supposed to be the Paragon thing to do, but just as a thing, it's kind of a douchebag move.

And here's Nick Breckon! That's probably the best news ever. Can't wait to see it. Probably also means Fallout 4 with this new tech?

More Morrowind, less Oblivion is my hope.

I felt compelled to leave a reply.

Am I the only one that feels a general apathy towards the Lara Croft character?

Someone needs to update the forum stuff. Those bots are really, really annoying. Anyway, I'm game! I've been meaning to try it out and zombie slaughter happens rarely these days. I think we're all kind of done with L4D.

It's the best worst thing I've seen all day.

Toblix has posted no pictures of himself yet?

It's still good, if you can get past some archaic adventure game design. A lot of the puzzles are straight forward enough, but some might stump you because of the illogical item combination. Still one of my favourite point 'n click adventures ever. Loooove the worlds. I want a Dreamfall sequel already!

YlKDu_XtG_I I don't-- It's... Yea. I don't know.

I love broad generalizations about entire younger generations! Where are your revolutionary spirits, Thompson and Snooglebum?! You capitalistic consumers! What the fuck does that even mean. I haven't read the article and it already pisses me off.

I played and finished Puzzle Agent! I think a common criticism of the game is that the puzzles weren't great and that, some times, the rules weren't clear enough and I would agree with all that. However, I really, really enjoyed the game! A great atmosphere that tends to hover around unsettling and mysterious the entire time, and constant sense of progression due to it being so short. I also thought that the ending sequence was really well done.

He's still saving up the money for his world tour, actually.

WHERE ARE THE UPDATES? -
Jesus, can someone get rid of that bot already?
-
They mailed it to me today, which means I'm getting it TOMORROW! I have not seen much of this game at all, but really curious to see how it turned out.

So what do you actually do in the game, i.e., what's the gameplay like?

Got back from the US. Every time I come back home, the thought hits me that I don't want to be here, that I haven't really missed anything. I just want to turn around and go back and travel places, meet friends... It's kind of depressing to be back. This might be because some of my best friends are in America; I don't know. Already missing them.

Some buttons haven't been working for me, like the multi-quote button. Some other things too.

It's a good thing. Being confident about yourself and appearing confident are attractive qualities (to me at least!). Just as long as you are yourself and all that. Men and women... Besides the parts, they really aren't that different from one another. Don't be afraid to hint that you are interested. If they're not, you'll know (maybe). If they are, you'll know (maybe).
-
Either that or you just feel/appear more confident. I shouldn't be giving advice. I have a terrible, terrible track record when it comes to women.
