That is one sexy machine you have there! I'm pretty sure that'll play games for a long time to come. Should be able to handle Crysis 2 at max settings just fine.

I really want them to add Startopia to their library. I've tried to play that game again, but it won't run.

I don't think any of the episodes were longer than 8 hours. I finished Portal 2 in about 6-6.5 hours and I had a really fun time. It's paced really well and ends just when it needs to, in my opinion. Don't think you can ignore the co-operative aspect either, but I haven't touched that bit yet, so I couldn't say how much time that adds.

Finished the singleplayer stuff! Really enjoyed it. Thought the ending was wonderful. Now to find someone who will play co-op with me.

I don't mean to complain like that... I think what they're doing is exceedingly awesome for both players and the developers of that game. I'm just saying the ending lacks signicifance, so far. Criticism of how it's ending rather then content/intent wise. It's still early though, so anything can happen. I'm sure Valve also has their reasoning for doing it this way. Miffy, I think it's either "long fall or "Killing you and giving you good advice aren't mutually exclusive." both minus the quotes. That 2nd one is the console input thing. I think you'd be best of going with the PSP-3000. I think the jump from 1000 to 2000 to 3000 were iterative. So better display, slightly smaller form factor, some other stuff. Go looks nice, but only supports digital downloads, as you probably already know. Not all games are released digitally. I can't really comment on the games for PSP since I've played so few, but for PS2, I'd recommend Persona 3 or 4. I found 4 to be more accesable, personally. Normally not a fan of jRPG's, but those I found pretty cool. Okami! It's really good! It's also really long, so be prepared for that. The Jak and Daxter series. I remember enjoying those, though I also remember someone recently complaining about the camera in the first. There should be loooots more, but I can't think of it at the moment. Though the ones you mentioned, I'd recommend as well.

6 months to a year is a the current plan. If stuff goes well, I'll probably want to extend that. It's likely I'll be in the St. Louis, MO area, though I'm honestly not sure yet. Thanks for the offer, Squid.

It is made easier by the fact that I do not have to become a US citizen. I don't require a greencard, just a work visa. At this point, I'm not looking to become a permanent resident.

Well, my vacation is over. Hanging out with one of your best friends from the other side of the world, having a good time... The feeling of being on my own again is not a great one, I must say. I miss her a lot already. Might as well say it now since it's semi-official. The plan is to move to the US for a long period of time, at the end of the year, as I go into the games making business with a buddy o' mine. That's the plan at least. I've been thinking about this for a long time now and finally decided that this is what I wanted to do a few months ago. It's scary, but I'm so up for the adventure! First things first... I need to get my driver's license.
