I too finished it! The 3rd chapter and Epilogue did feel a bit, well... Short, really. Though I'm not too broken up about it, seeing the amount of hours I put into it. I thought that the environment for chapter 3 was also the least interesting, so I'm glad I didn't spend hours upon hours walking around there. Spoiler about some quests in ch3: Something concerning imported saves: Witcher 1 endgame spoilers On the plus side, Thaler sent me a message via spy, which was pretty cool. I would really appreciate it that when they let you import a save, you can see what choices you actually made. Another thing I quite liked was that the entire journal is written from Dandelions perspective. Often giving hints what you're supposed to do, because he already wrote what you're going to do. Though, utterly pointless that they split up monster knowledge from the journal. Just minor gripes, really. The biggest one is the combat system; if they can improve on that, make it more responsive, that'd be great. I hope Bioware is taking notes, because they can learn a thing or two... Namely that they should take their time and do sequels right, because Dragon Age 2 was fucking embarrassing. Especially if you go back after playing the Witcher 2.

That entire game was buggy as shit for me. Kind of ruined the whole thing for me. Falling through geometry, crashing, having to redo entire missions because a certain event would not trigger, spazzing physics. Ugh.

Well, it happened. At around 6PM GMT+1, the ground split open, the skies turned to fire and our country turned to a wasteland within a few hours. The land is roamed by the walking dead, demons and other evil. I also got a light headache, which is really inconvenient. But hey, at least the internet still works! Anyway, I learned a lot in the past few hours, so if any of you have any questions about the apocalypse, shoot!

From the Witcher 2 forums on gog.com: So that's good.

What the hell, no one wants free games?

I think I'm nearing the end of chapter 1 and I'm LOVING this game! The attention to detail is amazing and this openess. Really great! I kind of got over the quirky combat and I've even gotten alright at it. The voice acting is a step up from the previous game too.

He shifted to a different universe where he was never born and thus he has... NOTHING!! Shifting to a different universe is very magical and also VERY UNUSUAL.

I've been starting to kick ass as I got a better idea of what certain enemies do. I've also started using a lot of Yrden, which is soooo useful! It basically creates an immobilizing trap. Enemies usually just come straight at you, so they walk straight into it most of the time. I got a few issues with the UI though. For one, it does not tell you the quantity of the bombs and traps on your belt. You cannot, when already in a menu screen, go straight to another screen. For example, if I'm in my inventory and want to go to my journal, I gotta exit the inventory and THEN go to my journal. I was also looking for monster fighting tactics, but get this: They're not in your journal. You have to go to your Character page, go to Attributes and THEN knowledge. Another thing I also found out is that you don't have to meditate distribute talents.

I have only 2 outs on my videocard (GTX260, which is probably why I can't run it on Ultra), which I use because of my dual monitor setup. The game has been kicking my ass a fair amount in the 1st chapter, but now I started incorporating more Aard signs and bombs and traps into my arsenal, it's a bit easier. Plus, do you ever feel like a badass monster slayer if you kill like 10 things in a row without getting hit.

Yup, I've been exploring Flotsam and it's awesome! Wide open wilderness + town. All streaming, so no load between areas. Really cool. Speaking of the wilderness. This game is really kicking my ass. It's like 7 monsters at a time sometimes and I haven't been able to put any points in sword mastery yet. The UI and controls are laid out, I think it's gonna surprise nobody when they announce the console ports soon. I would run it through my badass HDTV, but alas, not an option.

I dislike scary games, which is why I will never ever play Amnesia. This was pretty much me. It's also why I'll never be able to get through Silent Hill 2. Well, I could potentially play it, but like with a truly scary movie, I would only ever do that while watching with friends.

You can actually block if you hold E, which interrupts enemies doing normal swings, but I don't think they actually ever mention that you can block with E... This game is REALLY hurt be the fact that you can't cancel out of moves. It's kind of unrefined. The game is running great for me! I cranked everything up to 11 first, but ultra is a bit too strenuous. It's playable, but it runs at like 20fps. So, I put everything on high instead and it's butter smooth. My BIGGER annoyance is that I have a 5:4 aspect ratio set at 1280x1024 monitor, but it displays as widescreen with big black bars. My 2nd monitor is a bit bigger, so does anyone know how you can make it run on the other monitor by default? Either way, it still looks beautiful though! I'm only in the prologue, still, but I'm kind of annoyed at the linearity there. I suppose it's because they want you to learn the game and introduce the story (after all, it's the prologue), but damn... Kind of annoying. I'm thinking it opens up after I get out of the intro stuff.

I win! My prize? The Witcher 2, yaaaaaaaaaay!

I can play the game with you. I'll broadcast it to you and I'll wear my headphones so you can whisper in my ear what I have to do.

Don't know if you knew this and I can't remember if it's an actual thing or not, but if you disable the subtitles and have audio only, I think the conversations move quicker without these weird dialog pauses. This is during conversations, mind you. Not something you actually listed, but it reminded me of that.

It's for when Mace Windu and cohorts arrive.

Ugh what? You can't just leave us hanging like that, man! We're not mindreaders! Well, Toblix is, but that guy is strange.

I have a PS3, but I haven't turned it on in a while. I only buy the occasional PS3/console exclusives, so I don't tend to buy/play a lot on it. So, I haven't really missed PSN at all. Can't say that I missed the Dutch PSN store layout. I don't know who is responsible for that shit, but it's HORRIBLE. Especially when you got the US one which is spiffy and relatively easy to browse.

I really have no idea. Wrong link?

That reminds me. I still have an unsent copy of Plain Sight, the indie game. If anyone wants it. The Mafia 2 is probably not for me.

I paid full price for Soulcalibur 4 and felt rather burned by that. Talk about phoning it in. Namco are also some of the worst offenders of AWFUL $DLC. What a shitty trailer by the way. They couldn't wait until they finished the models for the actual game? The lipsyncing made me laugh. Anyhoo, WE'LL SEE. Things I'd like to see in SC5: When playing 2 player Versus, have all fucking characters unlocked from the get go. That's all I ask for.

It was, but there is little that Paul Eiding has not been in. I'm almost positive I've asked this before, but do you got a demo-reel?

We got Paul Verhoeven. You're welcome.
