1. Movie/TV recommendations

It doesn't make the movie any better for me, but that was an excellent read.
2. The threat of Watch Dogs

It's like the Human Centipede. Everything is connected.
3. The Electronic Three: 2012

http://www.gamasutra...Disillusion.php An interesting read I saw posted up on the website I was gonna name, but has the name right in the URL, so that seemed pointless... So yea. This largely speaks to my feelings about the whole thing as well. In conjunction with that, earlier today when I was listening to David Jaffe talk on the Giant Bomb podcast (at around 75m Jaffe comes on), he offered an interesting point of view as someone who has worked in big budget game development for a long, long time. It's sometimes hard for me to look beyond my own negativity and actually try to understand a little more what is going on in the games industry. Still, I'm glad there is some pushback to the stupidity of this years E3.
4. Unreal Engine 4

Is it just me or did they take a good look at Unity? I can see all kinds of Unity type things in there, but I'm not familiar enough with other engines/editors to know that that is a thing everyone does nowadays. I looove the new flexibility in the UI and being able to compile and play and then see the results once it's done. So I'm wondering, does this mean that this is kind of what we can expect from the next console generation? I thought that UE4 was being made with those platforms in mind specifically. Edit: Given that this seems to be a game for next gen consoles (it's rocking UE3), I'd say that is indeed kind of what we can start to expect. Boring looking gameplay aside, that looks gorgeous. DAT GLOBAL ILLUMINATION.
5. The threat of Watch Dogs

Fyi, David Jaffe segment starts at around 75m35s-ish.
6. ARMA 3

Sold! I'm glad they're removing some of the clunkiness from the movement and I really liked the ability to sort of duck down from crouching position. I'm even kind of excited about the new flight model!
7. Disney's Wreck-It Ralph

Yea, not a Pixar film. Pixar's next feature film they're working on is Brave, which is . Always love the character animation Disney does; it has this unique flavour compared to Pixar animation, speaking strictly CG. Now, I'm not sure if it's a matter of budget or they don't find it as important, but Disney CG often has somewhat static backgrounds, which bothers me as it takes a little bit of life out of the picture.I loved Princess and the Frog! It was pretty great. Classic Disney, but modern in its execution. Tangled less so, as it has that thing where the world doesn't really seem to exist outside of the characters. The first 15 minutes of that movie affected me so much that I felt depressed through the rest of the movie. What didn't you like about it? Did you see Toy Story 3 and how did you like that? Oh and hey, does that mean you've attributed other Disney CG films to Pixar as well? As you can see, I have questions!
8. Gifts - Stuff for Free

I've got 3 Red Orchestra 2 guest passes.
9. The threat of Big Dog

I think if I were dying and I had that to keep me company, I'd want to shove that thing down the throat of whoever thought that was a good idea.
10. The Electronic Three: 2012

I hereby declare that we shall be playing this game and saving the world, one cheesy cutscene at a time! KTHANKS.
11. The Electronic Three: 2012

I only just saw this and... I'm excited. O_O WEIRD.
12. Plug your shit

It's the one with the piano that's winning. Baffling indeed. You got my vote!
13. Life

I need a goddamn vacation.
14. The Electronic Three: 2012

Was the lack of a Zelda or Metroid really something people complained about? What struck me was Nintendo's utter, utter failure to present me with anything that at least felt fresh. Pikmin was Pikmin, 3 fucking Mario games, another Luigi's Mansion game, Wii Fit U to please the "casual" crowd and that Nintendoland thing, which I'm sure has a bunch of fon minigames, but looks like a game for 10-year olds (which is fine, but you're not going to sell your system to me with that). Even the mini-game they took way too long to explain seemed like a re-appropriated version of that Pacman GBA/Game Cube game from years ago. I really like the idea of the hardware. You could do so many cool things with it, but if anything they showed complete atrophy on the development side of things. Yes, Mario will be fun. Pikmin will be fun. NintendoLand will be fun. I'm just so tired of all their shit, I just want to yell at them a bunch. http://www.rockpaper...e-becomes-vile/ And thank fuck someone wrote this. This has been my biggest issue with this years conferences. Meanwhile, you got all these idiots arguing about who "won" E3. No one did, they all get a D- and can go fuck themselves! :( (I'm just angry, incredibly frustrated and disappointed, but then maybe I'm taking this stuff a bit too seriously)
15. Diablo III

Well, it does say you are a master of disguise... HMMMMM?
16. The Electronic Three: 2012

You know, seeing all the Ubi games, those guys have some amazing animators. Seriously.
17. The Electronic Three: 2012

Thanks Ubisoft. Thanks for making the most embarrassing SHIT I've ever seen at E3. Thank you for making me feel embarrassed for liking video games.
18. The Electronic Three: 2012

It's depressing and embarrassing. It all looks the same and it's uninteresting dudebro shit we've only seen 094tu6q[0t4uq43t times before. THE FUTURE OF VIDEO GAMES. Although that MS Glass thingy might be cool. I like gadgets, but then I don't have an Xbox. I was only half-watching since I was doing something else, but is it a useful thing if you don't have an xbox?
19. WE ARE PLAYING A GAME OF ARMA 2 AND YOU SHOULD PLAY IF YOU CAN.
20. Diablo III

I heard that it can take a while because all of Canada is under 10 feet of snow, an if you buy something online, it has to be helicoptered in. Ordering online is a convenience here. It's a necessity to not die, there.
21. Hitman: Absolution

I disagree with what you said as well, Codicier. Ultimately the change comes from within, but if outside pressure isn't there, then there is no drive to change. Be it learning about things and changing your mind yourself, or being called out on your bullshit by others, which might lead to a bit of self-reflection. If I keep shitting on the sidewalk and everyone ignores it, then it must be okay to shit on the sidewalk. Poop metaphors come easy to me. I'm a classy dude.
22. I approve this message. Also, let's create a Day Z thread! edit: DONE.
23. Gifts - Stuff for Free

Is it irritating you, Thunder?
24. Hitman: Absolution

Someone should mock up a male monk edition of the scene where they all stand in front of the motel in a row, being secure with their sexuality.
25. Life

Well that sucks. What'd you do?
