I'm hosting a games night at my place relatively soon. Would be fun to try it out.

I was curious to check out Age of Empires Online, so I installed it, but then GFWL asks for a CD-key. So, no thanks. LATER, GAME.

I got the HD555's as well and yea, they're open. And light too. They won't actually press against the ear, but against your head, making them super comfortable; I can wear them all day without problems. Sometimes I even forget I have them on. Oh, and the sound quality is pretty good too, plus the entire thing is modular, so when something breaks you can easily replace the part yourself. Supposedly the only difference between the HD555's and the HD585 is a strip of foam in the shell, which I removed. Quite nice!

I thought for a moment she was Amish.

Developing a strat game for fun: fancy joing in?

That looks neat. Where you at game design-wise, so far? -
Isn't it John Walker specifically that hates Telltale Games? I played runaway. It wasn't funny (I think it was supposed to be funny) and the puzzles made no sense to me. One of those games where you start using every object on everything, cause you can't make sense of the moon-logic

If the Steam sales have taught me anything, it's to not buy anything that doesn't have crazy discount yet. I bought Bionic Commando for me and a friend for 20 bucks a piece when it was 25% off the 2nd last day of a summer sale. The last day it was on for 75% off.

Not a closed-off PC; a standardized PC.

Why is everyone so stuck on the tablet/phone thing? Rather than being confused as a device, I think a lot of people are confused as to what it is. It's a cheap, open console and in my estimation, that's it. By console standards, the hardware is already outdated, but how much does that really matter?

Sold and I'll take that Sword of Islam thingy too! Once the store stops timing out.

At first I was like "Haha, gross!" and then: Then I went "aww". Feels bad, man. -
Well, the advantage would be 1 hardware configuration to develop for. I really like the idea of an open console platform, but their line of "play the games you play on your phone on your TV"; seems to me like missing the point of why people play games on their mobile devices. Then again, it kind of makes sense to me why they're positioning it like that, in a marketing sense, as it's instantly clear what kind of stuff you can expect from the system. In essence, it's a low-cost, open platform console. In other words: A good idea.

Yup! Their tutorials are teeerrible. I also had to figure out on my own how the crafting system works, which is anything but straight forward. They don't explain it anywhere. The advice I can give you is, focus on 1 weapon first and aim for a deck character. They're sort of like pre-made templates, where all you gotta do is put points in the right thing. If you complete a deck you also get a thing. Everything about this makes me wish it was a singleplayer game. Also, I wish that Ragnar Tørnquist would start work on the next Longest Journey, because it's been 6+ years and dammit. I want to know what happens after Dreamfall!

The director's cut is like they put all the story bits back into the movie. The theatrical release is more like an action film if anything else.

Why can't exploration alone be a valid objective?

http://virgiltexas.c...lin-spurr-sonic Hmm. Turns out the guy who made the "beat up Anita Sarkeesian" game (yes, that's a thing) is into Sonic the Hedgehog erotica.

If this game's development has been abandoned and there are no plans to make it, then what is the point of this thread?

I've seen beardyman in action, so then everything else beatboxing seems kind of... Not as good as Beardyman. Sorry, guy who will probably never read this!! -
Because if you want to make something and actually finish it, sometimes it's good to start simple. Only criticism would be that the boss where I'm pretty sure I hit it, but then the bullets just passed through it. If it isn't the collision detection and there is a specific order to the little squares, then that wasn't clear to me.
