Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube
Lu replied to pabosher's topic in Idle Banter
Because it has been too long! This might be the kick in the dick in the balls you need. -
After weeks of rain, finally some summery days in the Netherlands! Also, I have a cold. Thanks, germs!

Buy it. Also, not a lot bothers me in terms of forum etiquette, but this thread, this bothers me. Relatively.

I've started playing this again since last week. It's still great. I see they just released a new content patch with 3 new maps too.

If anyone would pay notice that there is indeed a Steam event for sunday and if you would like to play with cool Thumb folk, then you can do so at the appropriate time for which the date is set. We will play the DLC campaign and it'll be grand! SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY. Ya'll, it's on Sunday! Make me proud!

You know, I now have extra appreciation of your avatar. Paging Doctor Andy!

That was amazing. Hahahahaha

Get a chat-room, you two! I actually saw this Dutch invention (I think), which was a fully automated machine for cow-milking. Except, the cow chooses when she was ready to get milked and walk into the machine. It was a lot less stressful for all the cows involved. I thought it was cool.

Nothing. Nobody showed and I didn't feel like nagging everyone to come play, so I gave up after 15 minutes.
-
Just a heads up that L4D2 will be played right now!

While wearing his wooden shoes.

Except he's Dutch, where there is no death penalty, health care is alright and same sex marriage is legal. OOPS!

Why is that relevant?

I hope your phone has a front-facing camera, otherwise you just blew my mind.

I was mostly responding to that, but in the context of my own motivation. Plus, I sometimes care what people think about me and I went "I LOVE MEAT, HUR HUR" but never elaborated on anything and I wanted to. And to distance myself from the cold-blooded animal murder-king Orvidos. Alternatively: What? Where am I? What's going on?

Addendum: If they ever make non-sentient beef-machines, I will give up sentient beef.

It was a conscious choice on my part and I thought about it a lot, but I decided I would either eat other animals or not at all. In my case, I really, really like meat. Which I understand is a selfish choice, but that's motivated by the fact that I love delicious food. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that my quality of life would be worse if I couldn't eat meat. I don't see how not eating meat would make me a more conscious human being... Maybe one with less moral conflict over the killing of animals for what's essentially, ultimately, my pleasure. A part of respecting the animal for me, means a quick, clean death and using as much of the animal as possible. I can live with the relativistic morality, as it makes my own life a little better. I agree that there's a disconnect between meat bought in stores and live animals, and I think it'd be good if people were more interested in where their food comes from and how it's done.

Except meat is goddamn delicious and I'd rather set myself on fire than to never eat meat again, my taste receptors simply adore the taste of dead animal flesh; I can't help it!

Cool, how'd you manage that? As in, what was the final straw?

Went to Amsterdam yesterday, went to see the Kubrick exhibition, which was pretty cool. Basically a walk through the man's career, starting with his early photography and then his films. They had a whole bunch of original movie props, original scripts with Kubrick's notes, storyboards and projected on the walls selected scenes from his films. After that, the Batman movie marathon, which started at midnight. The Dark Knight Rises didn't start till 6 AM, so now that I'm finally home, I'm pretty fucking tired! Movie was alright. Flawed, but alright.
-
Going to the Batman marathon in Amsterdam tomorrow, looking forward to it. Not all Batman movies, but the 3 Nolan ones. I've succesfully avoided all Dark Knight Rises spoilers. Just one more day to go.

The solution is logical and obvious: Kill the girlfriend.

They come across as deceptive and they haven't done a whole lot to alleviate that. They kinda keep making it worse.
