Monaco: What's mine is yours? Robbin' and Stalin

Not tonight for me, but I'm definitely up for more tomorrow! -
Well that took a Saturn for the worst.

That's good, man, and you totally shouldn't give up. I think it's cool to be critical, but be critical about the right things and in the right way; they want playtesters, not business analysts. I think what Ben said was correct. A lot of people in this thread already gave a lot of solid advice too. I don't know. What do you want to do really? Playtesting can be a really good learning experience if you let it (and you'd be amazed what a halfway decent developer can do in a few weeks time). Either way, never stop trying to make games if it's something you really want.

Yea and don't you dare blame yourself for any of it. They are doing this nonsense to themselves. Seething rage is entirely appropriate. Some people! Jesus fuck!

Okay, a second reading of what I said that comes across with way more dickishness than I intended (I added a smiley!). So, apologies, I didn't mean it like that. I'm way nicer in person, honest. I was referring the following (if I heard you say that out loud and you playtested for me, you could probably pack your shit and get out): It really, really shows that you've never had a full-time gig actually making games. What you are talking about is simply not possible. I think you're confusing emotional attachment with the ability to be able to externalize criticism, as opposed to taking it personally. It's a skill you learn and get better at. The average developer is killing metaphorical babies on a daily basis and, if you really believed in an idea, that can be way harder to deal with than any criticism a playtester might level at your game. And as far as playtesting goes, I think all criticism and suggestions are useful (even if you don't end up doing anything with it), constructive criticism is the best, but armchair game designing is not. It's annoying, more than anything. As a side note, I'd be instantly weary of a developer who referred to his game as "product".

Andy underestimates my anus, once again. Alternatively: lmao

It's a 24" 120Hz display thing by Benq. It's pretty sweet, but its color reproduction has proven to be disappointing. It's not bad once you've twiddled with the settings, but definitely the biggest weak spot (out of the box color settings are atrocious). Its response time and refresh rate are great though; no ghosting, or none that I've seen.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

Aren't we glad? You weren't kidding. Jesus. -
Shhh, don't be afraid. We're already brothers-in-balls.

I started off by using the side of my hand, since you have more skin to work with. Like you're judo chopping your powerball, except you're slicing bread, once. It's really all about getting a feel for the slower gyrations and speeding it up from there. I usually close my eyes, feel the subtle catching of the gyro and then I go faster and faster, all the while holding it firmly, making that gyro do its thing.
-
Why thank you! I love it, as it eliminated pretty much all my hand cramp problems. Pro-tip: Learn how to get it going with your (idle) thumb. I lost the string too, until I found it again weeks later, but by then I mastered the thumb flick.

There's still other planets that we could go to that we haven't marked with giant cock and balls yet. There's plenty left to do in our Solar system and after that... The universe! THE MULTIVERSE! INFINITE INFINITIES UNDISCOVERED!

I have a hard time dealing with clutter in my personal space. It makes me feel restless, or something. Let's not check my bedroom, though.

I can kind of see why they fired you now, Rxanadu.

Still haven't gotten my pre-ordered copy. Is there a shortage or something? It seems sold out everywhere I look.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eG9R0q9QJQc I could watch stuff like this all day. -
I watched a good bit of it. There was some mild excitement when one of the the connector cables wasn't long enough, as it was ribbon tied to the antenna-like device, so one of the 2 had to go get some wirecutters to cut it loose and give it a bit more length.

Life ain't nothin' but Boos and gems. Luigi's dance of victory is magnificent though! Finished it last week. I'll likely go back and get all the Boos, but after looking up the reward for all the gems, I decided to not do that unless I stumble upon them as I play.

I don't know exactly why, I just can't give a shit about this thing. I don't feel excited or tantalized, just incredibly bored. Watching the video made my eyes glaze over. edit: Actually, nevermind. I know exactly why; it's like Rodi said I've played the same game a hundred times over and I'm not interested in doing it again.

Yea, really. Few years back I was on vacation in Maine, out in the middle of nowhere by a lake. If it wasn't for those aggressive asshole mosquito's I would've just slept out on the docks watching the milky way. Beeaaauutiful! Cities should start thinking about dimming the streetlights portions of the night, or something. Save energy and maybe ruin the night sky a little less.
