Probably true. Looking at their job postings they're mostly looking for non-game engineer stuff.

There is also a Valve branch in Luxembourg, I recently found out!

Considering that Phil Fish is bipolar, you're right that he's one of his own worst enemies, Gormongous. The amount of cruelty on display, and the glee with which they apply it is completely disgusting. This has been going on for years and I can't blame Fish at all for wanting to get out. I really hope he'll be alright. I'm so done with this gamer rage bullshit. A waste of everyone's time and energy.

Fucked up situation. I saw the bit on Gametrailers where that Marcus Beer character does his little rant; what a pernicious little man.

YEA. Better than I thought. It took a while for it to warm up and start feeling like Serious Sam again. I guess my biggest criticism so far is that it's a little one-note in terms of environments and level design, especially after teasing some pretty nifty looking scifi stuff.

It's back up and I sent friend invites!

Yep! Here's my Steam thing by the way.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

So he said and then she said and then he said. I see. -
I bought that game as a little kid! I totally had a Star Wars phase in which I mindlessly collected everything that had the Star Wars title. (I bought Force Commander too...) I never did get a whole lot of the 3D space fights, but I put so many hours into that thing... I don't think I ever had any idea what I was doing though. Whoa! Has it already been a year? I only found out about this thing last year and it's bucket loads of fun to watch. Absolutely insane stuff. Those folks have a level of mastery on the games they play, it's really impressive to watch.

I see you guys have never heard about Steve Vanaman, the biggest, dirtiest Idle Thumb secret. I'm not supposed to talk about this, but whenadon[áre'[jky tol,GBfdghHELP

What's in a name? LETTERS!! -
Yea, that game is way more fun than I ever thought it could be. Extra fun if you don't live in Europe and you don't really know any of the signs. If you're American, you're probably gonna feel claustrophobic on a lot of the highways!
-
What'd be a good day for something like this?
-
It was €2.50 at 75% off in the general Europe area today, which is what I bought it for, so I dunno!
-
I'm totally up for that.
-
Gold includes all DLC, except the newly released Brave New World. Civ 5 vanilla is 7.50, Civ 5 Gold is 10, but if you already own Civ 5 vanilla, you can pay 2.50 to upgrade your vanilla to gold. I think they've had the gold upgrade for a while now.

Booted up my friend's PS3, wanted to do some racing in Gran Turismo 5. Hadn't played in a long time. NOW DOWNLOADING UPDATE 1 OF 21. AAAAAAAH!!!!!
-
To add, can I just say how nice it is that they're offering an upgrade option? So many games that I bought on day 1 that get ULTIMATE AWESOME GAME GOLD OF THE YEAR EXCLUSIVE LEGENDARY MAXIMUM COMPLETITUDE editions, making me feel like a dope for even buy games at launch anymore.

When a card drops, there is a random chance that it's a foil. So yeah, I think that was pure coincidence.

What elmuerte said!! The fiercest complainers about slipping deadlines (that I saw for the Double Fine thing in particular) hadn't even backed the project they were supposedly outraged by. It just feels like a temper tantrum of the "BUT I WANT IT NOOOOW" variety. Some people continue to treat Kickstarter as a store. I think at the start of a project, when the game only exists in design documents, it's rather impossible to juggle all the hypotheticals and come up with a realistic release date. Especially when a game gets overfunded. I think my point is that release estimations in the babby forming phase of game development are called estimates for a reason and should never be read as fact. As for that last thing, I think developers are entirely capable of making those calls themselves and do. I can only imagine that being funded directly by the fans brings its own brand of pressure. At the end of the day, when the game does come out, people are only going to care whether it's good or not. So it'd better be damn good!! -
ARMA CANNOT BE KILLED. ArmA sometimes takes a week off, because it's so intense*. *nothing happens unless I plan it.

I did some 3-player co-op with this one. I was honestly hoping it was poking fun at it, but I put a good hour into it and that moment there was no indication it was actually going to change for the better, so we gave up on it and started up Second Encounter instead. I guess I'll give it another shot now. Still, imagine my complete disappointment; thinking relatively highly of the first 2 games and then getting, well, THAT.

I had no idea the UK hadn't legalized same sex marriage until I read it was legalized.

Thank you for keeping the dream alive.
