  1. Red Dead Redemption

blah, never have I anticipated a game so much that I can't actually play.
  2. Beat Hazard

I played it for like a minute and realized immediately why it has a seizure warning right off the bat. That game puked so many colors and effects into my eyes that I'm probably now an epileptic. Also it apparently reads my mind which creeped me out. Was looking for my mp3 of Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child and before I even found it the menu music had changed to that song.
  3. GTA IV

Because I'm magic! I can run it mostly on medium but sometimes it slows down. I recently turned down some of it to low for multiplayer and it works pretty well.
  4. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

    Jake's Famous Vanaman sauce?
  5. Thumb Fortress 2

you dirty slut! I don't idle, don't care enough to. I've been saving up to craft a hat, just one refined metal away....which is still really far. Also, Sam & Max items in tf2, eh?
  6. GTA IV

Gets choppy for me as well, but I'm also on a core 2 duo 2ghz and 8800gt. For the most part it runs fine though. Finished TLAD, enjoyed it. Really dug the MC dynamic, probably cause I love Sons of Anarchy. Been trying the multiplayer which is surprisingly fun, though not many people were playing. (GFWL ID is Betrothedcoot if any PC gamers wanna try stuff out)
  7. Paul Verhoeven making The Last Express movie?

I'd buy that for a dollar!
  8. GTA IV

Anyone play the expansions on pc yet? Was curious to see if they're worth it and actually work decently. Edit: I said fuck it and started grabbing it off Steam.
  9. The Best of PC Gaming

Don't think anyone mentioned it. But another advantage to building a desktop is being able to swap parts out as needed for upgrade. Instead of getting stuck with a old laptop or having to buy a new one. Contrary to popular belief you also won't be upgrading constantly. Usually it ends up being a few years unless there's some magical leap in technology that nobody sees coming. I spent about 800 on my current machine, it's by no means top of the line, nor was it when I built it. But I can still run most games with high settings. The only thing I've upgraded was adding a little more RAM when I changed to windows 7. Try out some games you can run currently and see if it's interesting. If so, go for it! I'm probably slightly biased because I can't stand using laptops for anything. My meaty hands don't agree with them!
  10. Red Dead Redemption

I want to bury my eyes now.
  11. Just Cause 2

I actually enjoyed that mission. Because A) it was pretty cool and it was fucking ridiculous. I've now finished all the faction missions and just now getting around to the agency missions. I find I'm completely reveling in the sheer craziness of the plot. Plus I can probably screw around in this game forever. I've actually started to ignore planes and extraction in favor of driving places just so I can mess around more. After I finish the game I'll probably go back with that trainer mentioned earlier and go even crazier. Edit: Finished the missions, this game is so ludicrous and I love it for that.
  12. Just Cause 2

At least the mission featured male strippers firing at you with machine guns, while wearing nothing but a bow tie and underwear. I was laughing pretty hard at that.
  13. Plain Sight

Double jump is pretty much the first thing to get I find. It really helps you navigate the world. I actually dig the gravity/jumping mechanics. I got used to it pretty quickly.
  14. Down in the Zone (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.)

update your audio drivers/codecs. I've had a similar problem in several other games because of having outdated drivers.
  15. Plain Sight

I completely regret buying this....because I have school crap I should be doing. Very fun, and before I knew it I had wasted too much time. Apparently I'm also a sucker for cleverly named achievements, because the humor in those and the Marriage pic on the site are what finally convinced me to try it.
  16. Just Cause 2

Me and mountains seem to always result in hilarity. First off, I'm on a big snowy mountain, needed to get somewhere far. So i was like "hey i'll buy a jet." So I did! Then the plane started rolling down the mountain before I could get in! I try to zip after it with grapple a bunch, at one point I guess I reached terminal velocity and smashed my face into a rock and died. Another mountain moment. I was at the top of a mountain, overlooking a military base below. I for some reason decided it would be badass to jump a motorcycle off the top into the base. So I order a bike. Everything goes smooth for like 5 seconds. I hit a small rock and flip the bike. Then proceed to roll down the ENTIRE MOUNTAIN. Very slowly too! Took about a minute for me to come to a stop so I could actually regain control. I was laughing my ass off the entire time.
  17. Evony

Were any of the buildings shaped like breasts though?
  18. Just Cause 2

Decided to get the game after realizing how badly I needed Space Asshole 2: Jungle Asshole. Fun to have a game where you can just fuck around. Anyway, the moment that kinda brought me over the edge was this. I bailed out of a burning helicopter, didn't realize just how low to the ground I was. It still put me in the freefall animation. I frantically hit the parachute button, but instead my face slams into the ground, and then Looney Tunes style, my chute deploys a second after I've already tasted dirt.
  19. Red Dead Redemption

I too wish it would come out for pc. Also, sounds like you need a horsebag to fully enjoy this game!
  20. Just Cause 2

Only played the demo. But I can only hope that the entire game is about attaching people to things. Because that's all I ever did.
  21. Questions from a Torchlight newb

If you have explosive shot you've basically won the game.
  22. Dog Cone is the new Horse Armor

I now want a dog cone hat for the heavy in tf2. Please god let someone submit such a thing through the community item site.
