I honestly would go with the "roll with it" way, getting pinned down in a shitty circumstance and figuring a way out of it is pretty satisfying. I only quick-loaded once, but because when I used a gas grenade to take out a bunch of guards that were near the person I had to rescue, the gas cloud seeped into her room and knocked her out, making it so I couldn't complete it. Funny thing is it took me a minute to realize why she was asleep and why that caused the quest to not go further. Speaking of splinter cell, this much like conviction also has a mechanic where the guards converge on your last known position, you can see that position with an augment. Can setup takedowns like that, or simply bypass them by sneaking around.

Just finished the game. Only done one of the endings so far...interesting to see a game with a message

That's what I did as well, though sometimes when given the option, I'll just punch holes in walls, cause I can.

I have never played a DX game and love this.

2nd boss fight was kicking my ass, I literally won because it's AI glitched out and stood there while I unloaded.

If you're in the FEMA facility it's possible to get through without taking out a single guard, it's how I went through it. Ammo will become less of an issue after that really.

I have this sweet augment called "Heavy Rifle", also EMP grenade. I literally only have the gun for robots actually, I've done a mostly non-lethal run. I actually have been totally stuffed on ammo for most of the game, but I also avoid a lot of conflict. I've basically done most of stealth, the x-ray vision, rebreather, hacking maxed. Breaking walls and lift heavy stuff too. They eventually just let you find a lot of guns/ammo, especially when the bigger encounters are coming up. My advice to anyone is to make sure to keep a real gun on hand for the boss fights. (If you're doing non-lethal)

You gotta have your priorities straight like me. I risked my life dodging around two giant security mechs so I could get to the sweet, sweet box of Cyberboost Energy Bars. Then I killed them. I pretty much just made the perfect commercial for them.

Oh man it's the Space Pope

To me, the best thing is Heavy with the M. Bison hat and cyborg arm.

Plus who doesn't want a sequel to Revolution X

steam preload is up apparently. Also the tf2 blog post about the deus ex items is pretty amusing.

I only played the demo, but the button prompts worked fine for me.

Also, people probably have seen this already. 3QIsHQfKZ4g

That trailer...really is something. Definitely checks all the boxes.

That is exactly what steam says every time a game comes out in the US, how did you know?!
-
The outcomes are actually vastly different from each other.

It's not much of a game as much as a narrative. However the dialogue and outcomes are fun/interesting. It reminds me of a choose-your-own-adventure book, except the places it takes you are wildly different.

I'm sure it was done by the same person who did the battelog site. Hope they still plan on making that thing optional. Joining servers was a pain in the butt, though that was partially because there was 5 US servers and 500 UK ones.

Didn't notice the scroll bar, clearly my powers of observation are unmatched.

Where is this mythical option? First thing I did was look for it

Origin wouldn't bother me if it actually had an option to not start when you boot up your PC. Had to use it for the BF3 alpha, and that part's really the only thing that bugged me as far as usability goes. So far I've not bothered uninstalling it just because I know I'll have to have it eventually. Of course I'd prefer a steam copy, since I run everything through steam and use it for social things.

I don't mind seeing an expanded version of American Gods. I liked the book, but I found the world in it more interesting than the actual plot.

It's fine spending dollars on a card at this point anyway, can always use the same card on a future machine. It would be a problem if there was some new interface standard coming, but I don't think there is.
