I actually do agree that the LoL UI is a bit friendlier, mostly in the store bit. Other than that though they're not all that different.

I enjoy both really. On the copying builds bit, it always makes me laugh when people try to copy Revive Karthus and be completely terrible with it.

Until the last 6 months carries usually were the mids in LoL, people changed after they saw some tourney guys running AP mids. There are other characters that work in mid it's just that people adamantly stick to what's cool usually.

No, i was against an akali, I was playing Taric, I shut her down early on by carrying an oracle's around once we won bottom lane and I was wandering.

I honestly haven't seen an Akali become unstoppable in a while, last one I saw at all I was playing support and I just picked up an early oracle's. That was pretty much the end for her. Garen does get really stupid sometimes, but he's nowhere near as ridiculous as he was like a year ago.

Same goes for LoL really. Except maybe Fizz's first week, that was pretty stupid. The reason I pick on Skeleton King/Ursa is because it's super rare to see them do badly unless it's someone who clearly has never played any sort of dota-like game before. I don't think either game is ever going to be in perfect balance.

I think both games have some balance issues though. There's some seriously OP characters in dota 2. Like skeleton king and ursa being able to kill rashon at level 1. Dazzle/silencer are giant dicks also. It's rare that I see a bad skeleton king, hell the first time I played him I steamrolled the other team.

That martial arts stuff was silly, but I kept focusing on the ref who looked like they just found some random dude in a 7-11 to preside over the fight.

So I like how in the splash image vanaman and chris look like they're in GQ or something, and Jake looks like he's confused by what the coffee table just told him.

The Fades is entertaining but definitely falls into a lot of common horror/fantasy tropes. Thankfully it's a fairly short series so it doesn't quite get tiresome on that front.

Had a pretty funny game as earthshaker where the enemy rikimaru kept blaming his deaths on lag instead of me stunlocking him, or throwing sentry wards all over the lane so I could see him. Also went 10/2/15 or something as dragon knight, first time playing him. At the end pudge locked me down in their spawn and I still got out with half hp.

So apparently they put the SPAAAAAAAAAACE personality sphere from portal 2 in as a mod. Gotta check that out later. Oh also grabbed the hi-res texture pack, the game has an actual load time for me now.
